When a star player wipes clean their IG account, its all you need to know...piss off Pop and he sends your asss to Siberia...plus Future odds for Raps to win title went from 40-1 to 20-1 overnight.

Toronto will be so dumb to trade for him because he'll only play for a year and leave
And when he's not happy, he'll fake an injury and sit out half of the season......
Um Craptors will never win with Lowry/Derozan combo...They are trying to get out the Derozan contract as he will never be a Superstar that can lead them to a title....Its worth the gamble for Kawhi for 1 year and try to convince him to re-sign. If he bolts after 1 year..then the Raptors rebuild, which they would have anyhow but don't have to worry about Derozan's contract.

exactly...and if they do indeed make it to the finals, Leonard will have more reason to stay and realize he's the alpha dog of the entire eastern conference...once players get a feel for the Raps and the winning organization here, they are more likely to stay...plus ownership will spend if necessary for this team...Demar is a very nice player, but he's limited whereas Leonard is arguably a top 3 player in the league when right...if you're Toronto management, this move does make sense even if it's for one year...getting to the finals will buy a decade of good faith for the Jurassic Park faithful.

Personally, I think it's dumb tossing Demar into the trade. Personally, I'd offer Lowry, OG, Poetl, a 1st round pick 3-4 years down. Knowing a 1st rounder for 2020 would be dumb if Kawhi bolts and they go into a rebuild mode.. that'll end up being a top-10 if not early lottery pick.
Demar's actually a lot more valuable than the public perceives versus the other players. Just doesn't get the same buzz as other players because he isn't broadcasted nationally regularily and playing in Canada doesn't help.
Mejiri know's wassup though.. Kawhi's currently in SA (travelling to NYK for therapy), maybe end up across the continent to Toronto and then pack up again to move to LA? Same reason reports are coming out that Kawhi would want to be part of the Clippers (Lmfao, never heard anyone fan or player say they'd ball for the clips).. Just ask PG how that plan works lol and he just moved 10 hours away lol. Mejiri knows how to keep his players that he needs, I wouldn't ever sell him short.
And Pops would do that to Kawhi if he wanted to do it dirty.. Spurs still have him for the year and can do as they please. Only reason why I wasn't shocked with Orlando having high odds initially loll.
But, end of the day Camel head Kawhi just needs to make a sound and address this garbage because his name's going to shiii..

Why in the world would Spurs want Derozan? Kawhi on Raps changes nothing, they still aren’t best team in the East who will be curb stomped by winner of West. Terrible trade for both teams.

I disagree Ben...out of all the proposed trade talk out there, DeRozan is the best player out there who the Spurs could realistically end up with for a lame duck asset...even if he doesn't resign with the Raps, they will have enough space under the cap next offseason to target literally anyone they want, so it's not that huge of a gamble especially if the payoff is a trip to the finals which holds a ton of positive intangibles for the franchise moving forward in terms of historic relevance, exposure globally, revenue, etc...the more I think about it, the more I like it...it's like shoving all in with an open ended straight flush draw on the flop....if they do nothing they likely lose in the ECF and then fall off into irrelevance for several years to come

I disagree that DeRozan is best they can get. I would rather trade to Philly or Lakers which seems unlikely. Unless I am wrong I don’t think Raps have any picks that would get this deal done. Celtics in much better position to get him, Spurs will ask for the world but Brown and draft picks way better the DeRozan and what ever else from raps.

Last I heard.. Spurs don't even want a lot of picks from Boston knowing they'll be late 20s for the next five or so years.. They wanted Kyrie (or Rozier), Brown (or Tatum) and a few other players which would never happen..
Philadelphia doesn't have much unless they offer Fultz, Zhaire, Miami's pick and salary fixers.

Who's name has been realistically been thrown around; from any team, that is better than Derozan? Derozan gets a bum rap because he's not a 3pt shooter. And you could say he isn't clutch but that's the entire Craptor team. He's still a top 20 player and Pop could get something from that. He's athletic, has good size/length for a 2, and he can score. And with his size and length he coulf develope into a good defender, in the right sysyem.

Leonard is an elite defender, Demar isnt....this trade isnt that far fetched from a Raps pov...do nothing and they likely fall flat in the ECF or earlier...DD is just allergic to playoff basketball...why not get a "one year" rental and go for the finals? The Raps window is shutting quickly, and this upcoming year really is their last legit shot with both Boston and Philly about to become dominant teams for the next many years...what non major NBA market wouldnt sacrifice everything for a chance to really get to the NBA finals given what theyve had to endure during the Lebronto years, amd now the upcoming Philly/Boston years?
I realize Leonard will most likely jump ship after one year, but even that isnt guaranteed...maybe he will fall in love with the city and the team and the fans and the moneeeeeeeeeey

He gets a bum rap because he plays zero D at any point. I watch them by default not a fan. He can get to the hoop against pretty much anyone and is great FT shooter but settles for mid-range jumpers way to much. You aren't winning anything with him as your best player IMO.
