Got a huge performance out of the spurs last night in overtime to finish the day with a profit despite going 1-3...on to tonight with some pretty favorable matchups....
Knicks -3 vs Nets 2 units
As a basketball fan you have to like this matchup, as a bettor you have to LOVE this line. The Knicks face a Nets team that has been in complete disarray since losing their starting center (Lopez) and have struggled their past 4 games. Even though the Nets should be pumped up for this game I think the Knicks win by 7-12 and here is why...The last time these two teams played Carmelo wasn't very effective and Felton shot an incredible 3-19. Yes 3-19! That won't happen again tonight as the Knicks know they need this one. The Knicks aren't an overwhelming public favorite and I really like them in this primetime match up with some rest.
Clippers -2.5 vs Bulls 2 units
I am a Bulls fan but I have to go against them here as the clippers are one of the teams that present the bulls with lots of problems. If Rose was playing this would be a different story but he isn't so on to the reasoning...The bulls have a huge disadvantage at the PG spot tonight going against the best PG in the game right now in Chris Paul, and the clips backup (Eric Bledsoe) could be the biggest piece of trade bait in the NBA right now with the way he is playing. The clippers front court is also one of the only front courts that can match the bulls in size and depth, especially with the improved play this season of Deandre Jordan. The bulls have been struggling to score lately and with the return of Billups the clippers are beginning to find their stride. Defensively the clippers can pressure Hamilton and Deng (which is the majority of the bulls offense right now) and force boozer and noah to carry the load, which hasnt been an effective winning combination this season.
