Fear the deer indeed my friend. How about your Bucks bro. Doubted time and time again. Enough doubting. Do you think they have a chance to steal this series? In order to do so they have to prevail on the road. Not sure if I have confidence in this team on the road. What do you think? Best of luck with your wagers bud.

Spurs just look NASTY... Now Dallas has one shot to get this ship sailing again, I think Dallas will get what they need from "tuff-juice" and Kidd tonight... Look for a Caron outburst mak-daddy...
Im with you on the lake-show and the Cavs should ride the night away.
Always enjoy ya work!!

You were spot on last night Bruce, you make a good point. Fuck the affiliates, as stated in the Heat writeup. 1 ring and no team. He has nothing the work with. Best player in the NBA with no backup whatsoever. Nevertheless, J.O has to have at least 1 good game. If Wade performs as he has, all he needs is a little help to get Miami withing 7 points. Beasley, a few Q rich treys, any minuscule contribution should allow em to stay within reach.
Funny thing is, I had CLE capped at winning by exactly 9 points. It's the ATS trends found while capping that put me over the edge and gave me the confidence to go for the 12. In any case, I am certain Cavs - 3 is a lock so the teasers should allow me to makeup for a CLE ATS loss.
Despite what many think, I do believe the Lakers come through and take a 3-2 series lead. They got a humbling experience in OKC and I think it may be a positive thing for this team once they advance.
I do think Dallas has a chance to pull out a victory, however, I just cannot go against the Spurs and doubt I will go against them a lot in these playoffs. It has been almost 8 years since I have seen a defensive system like this, it is very difficult to overcome for any team, especially one as as transparent as the Mavs.
I wish you good luck Bruce, thanks for your daily input on my threads, it is appreciated.
shit no problem man, thank you for the detailed write-ups, no doubt the best on covers, If I ever went tout Ide make you my first recruit ...........Disagreeing with you isn't cool at all though. Everytime I bet against you my nut sack shrivels up and retreats into my stomach for a little while. But oh well, maybe one of us has a good night tonight. As long as the Lakers win I will have a good night

Hey fellas, got bitch-slapped once again by the books last night. Went 2-3 on straight wagers and got murdered on the teasers due to Mo "Moose" Williams with his terrible performance in game 5. Cavs did not deserve the cover but should have won by more then 2 points. All teasers went to shit due to his ridiculously bad shooting performance. Looking to hit the fat man back tonight.

DENVER NUGGETS - 6 (-120) - - -I don't think the Thugs...I mean Nugs are gonna go down as easy as most think. Mello is a very tenacious playoff player with a lot of pride backed with a lot of skill. Another under-achieving player with an enormous amount of swagger and pride is Mr.Big Shot. Or in this series...Mr.No Shot. He has been the proverbial no show in this series thus far. He knows he has to step up and is being called upon by his teammates to lead them as he did last year. The Nuggets were arguably the best team in the West apart from the Lakers last year. Not much has changed roster wise since last year. They added a dynamic under-rated off guard in Aaron Afflalo. They added a talented rook in Ty Lawson. The one mistake they made is losing game 2 of this series. Each Utah win has been accompanied by specific players stepping up. D Will has stepped his game up to a point where he could be gaining strength as one of the best point guards in the NBA. I have no doubt he will continue to play well. But it wouldn't be enough. One game Milsap had an amazing performance and led the Jazz to victory. Another night it was J.R Smith and Denver's woeful 3 point shooting that lost them the game. And finally it was C.J Miles and Wesley's combined scoring output that allowed the Jazz to claim victory. Tonight I do not think C.J and Matthews will be able to provide much scoring or at least as consistent as they did in Utah. Milsap will have a decent game but come nothing close to the 20 and 20 he did to lead the team to a victory over Denver. Instead it will be Carlos and D Will against the world. In won't be enough against a desperate ball club playing for pride and survival. I suspect a huge game from Billups, an even bigger performance from Mello and Nene, Kenyon and Chris to provide the big men strength that has been lacking for the past 3 games. J.R Smith is ridiculous, but tonight I actually see him hitting some shots from beyond the arc and actually playing consistent offensively. The Denver Nuggets were perfect in the regular season coming of 3 losses. They have actually not lost 4 consecutive games since the 07/08 playoffs where they got swept by the Lakers. Losing 4 game straight in this type of situation does not happen often for any high-caliber team. I came across a few stats while capping to back up this theory. Playing on home favorites from 3.5 points to 9.5 points after 1 or more consecutive losses against two good teams (60% - 75%) is 18-9 this year and 87-44 over the past 5 seasons. The 5 season stat is meaningless in my opinion, just thought I would share it. Another stat is playing on home favorites to win after 1 or more consecutive losses against an opponent with 3 or more consecutive wins is a staggering 45-8 this year including the Dallas game last night. I just do not see Denver laying it down at home vs Utah tonight. Utah knows at the back of their minds that they still have one more in Salt Lake City to finish off the Nugs, they may play desperate to end the series, but will not come close to the desperation of a team on the brink of elimination. The Nugs know the stats are against them, only 8 teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit. I don't know if the Nugs can be the 9th, what I do know is Mello is one of the best in the game and can lead his team to victory, Billups has not stepped up and knows it is do or die. Denver has the role players to contend. They are a formidable home team at 35-8 and I really believe they get it done tonight. 5 UNITS CARMELO "PURE" ANTHONY - - -

MILWAUKEE BUCKS + 10 (-120) - - - A
lot of people on the Hawks tonight. Don't really understand the reason
why. I think Atlanta played a stellar game 4...they still lost. Joe
Johnson, Josh Smith, Mike Bibby and Jamal Crawford all had good
offensive game. They are the main offense for this team. I don't see
Marvin or Horford stepping up and scoring any more. I don't see an
increased defensive stance as the Hawks are not really a defensive
minded team. Their system is very flawed. The rely on the pick and
roll open shot process way too much. No team is going to win an NBA
championship like that. They have no real dangerous system. The Bucks
on the other hand do. Don't let the high scoring fool you. The Bucks
play very good defense and frustrate teams to death. They also have
offensive threats that can get it done and in my opinion have a much
better bench then Atlanta. The key to the game 4 victory was Carlos
Delfino. He finally decided to show up. Had 8 field goals which is
more then he had the first 3 game combined. Honestly, looking back at
Delfino's performances this season. He very rarely had back to back
good offensive games. I am not counting on him tonight. However, once
a player gains a little confidence that basket seems a lot bigger. He
may hit some shots tonight. Jennings is playing very consistent for a
rookie leading his team. He had an outstanding game 1 in Atlanta and
could be huge for them tonight. Salmons is listening to his coach and
attacking the rim with pride and prejudice. He needs to continue
forcing action and driving to the hoop. Good things will come. Kurt
Thomas looked baffled the first two games against Horford. But this
vet has watched tape and found the youngster's weaknesses and is
exploiting them. He is out-rebounding him and causing some trouble for
him down low. Mbah a Moute is one of my favorites. He has been touted
as one of the best defenders in the league by guys like Kobe and
Durant, that is saying something. The bench is where the money is for
the Bucks. Ersan Ilyasova is an excellent player, excellent defender,
long, savvy and can shoot. Jerry Stackhouse another vet can shoot the
ball with consistency and provide yet another wing threat. Luke
Ridnour a great backup PG that most teams would love to have starting
at the 1 for then. X Factor is a no name guy by the name of Dan
Gadzuric. A 7 ft center who is providing big time rebounds and a
defensive presence that only Andrew Bogut provided for this team. This
gem at the bottom of the bench may not seem to be that big an asset,
but come playoff time a big body who can change shots and rebound can
really come in handy. This spread should not have stayed the same.
Granted the Bucks are not as good on the road as they are on the road,
however Scott Skiles and his boys know that in order to pull an upset
in this series they must win one in Atlanta. The Bucks are young,
smart and confident right now. No more doubting this team, they have
proved it to us all season. It is officially time to fear the fuckin

The Prince is remarkable bro. Hope he locks down either J Smooth or Double J tonight. I would take him over Ron Artest any day. Defensively and even offensively. I like this kids game. Hell of a defender. I hope he gets acknowledged as a 2nd team all defense. Would love to see him 1st team but doubt it happens. As always thanks KP for your posts bro. Best of luck with your wagers tonight.

not wise picks.. I don´t understand, how you could place 10 units on this mentally poor Denver.. I wish you luck, you will need it
Maybe I am a bit mentally poor but I just do not think Denver is as bad as you think. I thought they would lose both in Salt Lake City. Hell of a difficult place to win, I don't think mental lapses was the problem. It was lack of execution on offense and defense. Although I do not think they will improve defensively, I do think players who have not stepped up in the last 3 games will do so tonight. I don't see Denver losing 4 straight to this Utah ball club. I could easily be wrong, wouldn't have 10 units total on them if the past 2 nights had not been losing ones. As stated in the recap and intro trying to get the bookie back a bit with a slight chase. Otherwise it would most likely be a straight wager 3 unit play with 1 teaser at 2 units for 5 total. Comparatively speaking I don't like Denver more then my previous wagers. Should have clarified that. Good luck Spurter.

Mak, You are NOT mentally poor. Now I see why You added more units on this pick.
But I simply don´t see value in this pick. And betting is all about value. You have to buy a unit to reach -6. If You are not comfortable with the recent line, it only means, that You should not place a bet on it.Simply because the value is disappearing dramatically with every 0,5 point in the spread that You buy.
And alternative spread Denver +2?? OMG If they lose, than the +2 does not help You that much. It means, really no value in there.
