Mak's Tumultuous TNT Thursday

Mak doesn't know what tumultuous means :) Just sounded right, if anyone can enlighten Mak and let him know if it makes sense it would be greatly appreciated :) A wager win is sweet, but the largest wager win of the season on your home town boys is very sweat. Fluke? Maybe.  Happy my boys came through, still know I am struggling but feel confident in my 3 TNT picks, your suggestions come into play once again today.  Thanks for CLE and MEM, wouldn't have played them if you guys didn't vote, CLE looks to have an easy cover so far and MEM is fighting.  Here is my slate fellas, best of luck to you guys.

DALLAS MAVERICKS - 10.5 - - - High spread, nevertheless an easy cover I suspect.  Charlotte off a back to back against Hornets.  The blowout there doesn't come into play because this was payback for the Hornets and the 30 point differential explains that.  Charlotte with a big trade and I seriously doubt they are done. Short roster, shallow bench against one of the hottest teams in the league.  Mavs have a hidden gem by the name of Jose Juan Barea A.K.A JJ Barea, an amazing point guard with stupendous skill, passing ability, speed and intelligence, makes KIDD a better player! Now how many guys can make a hall of fame point guard better.  With J.J easy shots, penetration and low turnovers, if you all think I am making something out of nothing then go take a look at J.J's last few games. Let me run some stats for you fellas. Last 4 games for J.J are as follows (15 pts and 6 assists,  18 pts and 4 assists, 22 pts and 4 assists and 21 pts and 5 assists) This kid is the deal, Dallas is on a role and will easily cover against a tired and depleted Charlotte roster.
8.8 UNITS MAVS - - -

UTAH JAZZ - 3 - - - The Jazz men are just the perfect macthup for the Portland Trailblazers.  What is the biggest asset of the Trailblazers? Not Roy, not big men, but depth.  jazz are one of the only teams that may be as deep or deeper then the blazers.  Should be a hell of a game, Portland will be pumped after their first home loss.  but even without Boozer D.Will and the Jazz Men should have this cover with ease.
5.5 UNITS - - -

WASHINGTON WIZARDS + 9.5 - - - Can't believe I am going with the Wiz, against my men in Boston.  The Wiz just always play the Celts amazing.  Some of the best NBA season games were played by these two teams last year.  Celts bring out the best in all-stars Caron and Antawn.  I see a good game and a 6-7 point win for the Celts.

i didnt realize how well the wizards played the celtics so i'm looking at that game now and leaning towards washington

portland... well i live there and its hard to bet against them for me especially with this rising talent they have...
but road game in utah are always tough for any team.
boozer being out may help because it lowers the line, but like you said utah is deep and they may not need boozer to compete with my home town blazers. i think i'll play the under on this game so i can still root for the blazers, and they aren't running as much as i thought they would. i see around 185 total points and why not wishful thinking while im at it

-its just the smarter play since their is a major shake up in the BOBs line up. Also, BOB's inside and outside cannot match with the MAVS.! plus the factor that the mavs will avenge their heart breaking home loss to the spurs. ITS DAL winning by 30+

I like the Dallas play but I would switch the Boston play, Boston will have had ample time off, and Washington is coming off of a win vs. Det. I sense Washington may have a let down game and Pierce needs to show up seeing as his last game was garbage.

Mak glad we could be of help.  Nothing beats good insight and capping (at least in the long run) so hopefully the board's help yesterday can keep it rolling.  Okay be back later with some more analysis.

Agreed... Portland really has never played well in Utah..... this is the first time theyve been a dog for a while... since the celts.... I am going to make a massive write up for this game.... i'll have it done at like 3:00am pacific probably.... the -3 sounds about right though....
