Make it make sense. Was thinking Memphis would be -2. Memphis matches up with them very well.
Think Grizzlies getting +2.5 at home is massive value. Might be my biggest bet of the playoffs. If the line holds true Warriors will be -8 at home? That's ridiculous. Might just close my eyes and bet Grizzlies every game.

@CaseyMcGehee
Memphis game 1.. if they lose Memphis game 2 double up.. they not losing both at home.. they win game 1 IMO... I can’t see them losing game 1 and losing Homecourt like the did to Minny..

I'll give a few reasons:
Grizz shooting 34% from 3 in the playoffs.
Warriors have incredible depth at guard. Poole is looking unstoppable at times and he's their 3rd scoring options tops.
Can Jared Jackson stay on the court? Dude is a foul machine. If this turns into small ball only, no way Grizz can keep up with Warriors in a best of 7.

Can Jaren Jackson stay on the court? Who for the warriors are going to go at him? Warriors inside game is non existent

Warriors have no interior presence Grizzlies will dominate the boards. The 3 guards will have to shoot the lights out to win. I'll take my chances and take +2.5 for 5 units. Probably comes down to pk close to game time.

Grizzlies just finished a tough series where they had to comeback in the 4th by double digits in 3 of their 4 wins. I think they’ll be a little drained after a quick turnaround time. Warriors will have 2 days of extra rest which is huge. And they’ll have been preparing for the Grizzlies after the Grizz won game 5.
If the Grizz fall behind it won’t be like trying to come back against a horribly coached T-Wolves team.

I'm on Memphis at +4000/+3000 and +1200 to win the west ..To meet in finals wheels vs Celtics and 76ers as well ...
Also have Suns and Mavs wheeled to meet Celtics and 76ers ....
Not sure if I should start hedging with Golden state yet , or wait??

@davemsh
It's not going to be like Towns just beating on him. Draymond could make it his mission to get them both ejected for all I know.
Grizz definitely wins the rebounding battle but Warriors will win the 3 point fight. There is going to be a point in these games where Golden State hits 3 or 4 3's and Poole makes a driving layup etc. in the course of handful of possessions.
Does Memphis have the firepower to comeback 12+ points in 2 or more of these games? Bc that's what it's going to take to beat them best of 7.

I doubt it. Maybe people who are brand new to betting, I'm sure there's a lot of them with all these states recently going legal.

I agree. And did you know....that since December 29th, the Grizzlies are 21-3 at home, and that they won those 21 games by an average of SEVENTEEN points per game? And now they're home dogs in Game 1? Making this even stronger is the fact that they lost Game 1 of their previous series. A home team losing Game 1 two series in a row is as unlikely to happen as a clever remark made by Joe Biden.
I excluded from that home record the Grizzlies regular season finale when they sat everyone and let the Celtics roll up 139 points on them.

Yes, they'll figure to be the right side in every game with the Warriors and their "death lineup" so overhyped and overvalued.

This is a betting line, not a prediction. There is an enormous amount of newbie money flooding into the market (and longtime bettors are now able to bet more) `. Do you think the money is on name brand GSW or upstart Memphis. People know Morant from the highlights but think he is just a dunker. GSW has multiple Hall of Famers. GSW just whipped a "good" Denver team. Memphis struggled with a "bad" Minny team. Or...maybe GSW's playoff experience is worth several points on a power rating and the line is where it needs to be. The proof is in the pudding, we'll find out soon enough. If GSW is making 3s they are tough to beat. Memphis may be the best rebounding team I have seen in a while...

If you think the bookies should have made GSW a dog you are a complete moron.
The public loves golden state. They would have been absolutely inundated with Warrior bets.
Whenever i see anyone posting that they're confused by a line im always confused by how they could be confused.

Also they only get 1 day of rest. Which is BS. I was leaning memphis when i saw rhe line but a young team theyll be out partying. I dont get why Mavs Suns wasnt on Sunday instead or Heat Sixers

Anyone laying chalk with GSW on the road with how they match up with Memphis is going to get slaughtered long term. I guess if the books think they can get enough action on GSW. Every sharp is lining up at the window to pound Grizzlies getting points at home here and game 2 at a minimum. If GSW wins game 1 and the line stays the same Memphis game 2 will likely be the biggest NBA bet I've ever made.

Your only hope is Memphis because the Warriors will mop the floor with your Suns.

When a team loses a season series to a team and was knocked out of the playoffs by that same team the previous year and they have more rest coming into game one against said team, and they have multiple players that have won titles and know how important game one is, you would have to be a moron to bet against them regardless of the line. This is situational capping 101.
