Great time in Vegas and now home looking at what should be a great Game 7 in New Orleans for at least 24 minutes!
New Orleans has flat out dominated the Spurs in the 2nd Half at home this year and in this series. They have played 4 games this year in New Orleans and the Hornets have come out of the lockerroom in all 4 with their stingers locked and loaded. They have taken the 2nd half in the 4 games this year by an average of 21.2 points per game!
In the three playoff games this series at New Orleans, the hornets have pounded the Spurs in the 2nd half by an average of 22.3 points per game! 22.3 points!
As far as the line in this one. The defending Champs opened as 2 point dogs and the total opened at 182.5. The current line is Spurs +4 and +4.5 in some places, yet the total has not moved? Tells me we are in for more of the same, Spurs 1st qtr., even 2nd qtr., and then the Hornets come bussing in the 2nd half!
I am not putting anything in yet because I am going to watch the line movement throughout the day, but as of right now based on the incredible 2nd half performances at home, I am all over the Hornets.
Let's see what the line does today. ||Peace_5.gif' border=0>

I saw that from one of your previous posts......
Yesterday when I was watching the pre game they talked about the 7th game at home winning percentage (80%), that is why I teased Bosotn.
tonights thoughts, considering the home percentage, New Orleans(+.5) and the over(179).
Last 6 games totals are 183,186,209,180,180, & 179.

pip-1thefixer - BOL my friend, but, I do not see how you can "throw all those stats in new orleans out the window ", when they give you a good indication of exactly how this thing will go. The Spurs on the road have flat out sucked as indicated by their 1-8 ATS record in their last 9 roadtrips. Yes they are the defending Champs but really WTF does that do for you on the court? The thing is that Ginoflop and Tim Duncan do notget their bs fouls on the road and that hurts them. Bowen and Finley aren't going to win this game so it will be up to Parker, Ginoflop, and Duncan and they have not shown that they are as formidable on the road as they are at home. Again, BOL, but to say that the stats and trends don't matter because they are the reigning Champs and will all of the sudden figure it out in Game 7 makes no sense to me.||Peace_5.gif' border=0>

My friend i really respect u a great deal but heres a stat Spurs have won a road game in 11 straight playoff series 12 after 2 nite and the reason why im throwing those 3 games out was it was do or die for the spurs how many times in the 80's did celtics go to det and lose by a million and then win the do or die game the hornets will buckle just like cp3 did in greece game when he couldnt stop pick n roll spurs 102-97 and don't count out finley with some late big 3's

PIDI,
I have been sitting by and reading this thread. You and I have been saying the samething regarding Parker and Ginobli all along. All those two have done, is start at the top of the key and sprint into the lane with no real intention of actually making a shot, but rather getting that bullshit foul call. And at home they always get it. In fact it is just stupid how many points they score that way.
But when they are away from home those calls do not come most often. All New Orleans has to do is stop those guys from driving at the top of the key. Parker will do his usual miss from point blank range hook shot and eventually, that will turn SAS into a jump shooting team because there either not getting the BS calls underneath or NO has deon a good job at stoping them from penetrating.
It really is that simple. SAS is old and they do not do well in hotly contested games where the pace is quick ALL 4 QTRS!! NO is young and really does not know any better. All they do is run!!! And at home in front of that crowd in an eliminatiuon game....well, I see no chance of SAS coming wihtin 15 of NO tonight. It might be close after 2 qtrs. But SAS knows they lose the game in the 3rd qtr. So they will be trying EXTRA hard to prevent the samething from happening and you know what that means...a little more pressure on the ball when they shoot, more careful in the possession, and that my friend throws them out of their gameplan and NO will still take advantage of that.
I may be all wet here, but this might be one of my largest bets of the year. I know we have all seen people say that and then get killed. Well, maybe, but I just think this is such a great position for NO. I am ready for it to start now!!!
Good luck to everyone tonight!

Uniden, I understand exactly what u are saying however, you can not under estimate the importance of experience in this kind of a situaion. Like you mentioned N.O. is young, yes they are at home but have never been in a game of this magnitude before. San Antonio has been and knows what it takes to win these games. Yes based on how the series has gone one can logically look at the past results and figure NO at home should equal a win and I'm not saying that they can't win but don't count out san antonio until the final gun sounds. My lean goes to the Spurs here and if they don't win I can't see them getting blown out. I see a close game if they lose. Best of Luck to you just my opinion
