The Knicks blew out the Heat and Sixers at home.It was a very emotional weekend for them going through all that they went through with the Hurricane. On a back-to-back off of 2 blowout wins I think they are mentally and physically fatigued and will struggle mightily tonight. The Sixers had a huge win over Denver at home, showing the fans and themselves that they can beat good teams.Philly’s crowd is nuts and they really believe in this team unlike the negative energy in the stadium in the 2nd half of last season. The Sixers are great on D at home off of losses. They have beaten the Knicks before so they know they can beat them.New York has a lot of new faces on their team and this is their first game together as a team on the road so it won’t be easy to string a full 48 together here.J Rich is out which is good cause Wright has looked better.Sixers had too much time off after the Denver win leading to them playing flat. They get some revenge tonight.
Timberwolves +7.5 (+102) to win 4 units and Timberwolves ML (+315) to win 3.5 units
The TPups have many proud veteran starters in Ridnour, Roy, and Kirilenko and energy players in Steimsma, Amundson, Barea, Budinger and Pekovic. They played a sloppy stinker against a hungry Raptors team yesterday with a ridiculous 24 turnovers.Adelman is a great coach and the Wolves players have stressed that they will take better care of the ball. The Nets are off of a big win in their first ever game in Brooklyn. The players and coaches were so pumped about the W.They were mediocre against the Raptors.People must remember that this was a bad basketball team for the past few years. Now that they have Johnson and won a big game they have a false sense of confidence that they are really good.Bad teams off of big wins are always an interesting proposition, as Williams and Johnson haven’t had big wins like this in a while. With Brooklyn off of a big win this is nice spot for the hungry Pups to do well here.Kirilenko can handle Johnson, Ridnour will compete hard with Williams and I think the Nets will miss Wallace big here.
Grizzlies -5 (-102) to win 5 units
Memphis is a phenomenal home team and Utah is a terrible road team. The Grizzlies had a disappointing loss in LA, but rebounded very nicely winning in a tough environment in Oakland. They got to fly home with 2 days to prepare for their big home opener. The Jazz had a tough loss in New Orleans. Then they started off slow but fought back down 18 to tie the Spurs in San Antonio, but still lost by 10.The Jazz sound like a very frustrated team and they are playing a team in the Grizzlies that are physical, great defensively and create a lot of turnovers.Utah relies in Jefferson, Millsap and Favors to score but Gasol and Randolph are just as good.Conley and Allen will harass Hayward and Mo Will.I just think you are getting a rested Grizzlies team that is playing a road-weary Utah team that cannot string together a full 48 minutes to win.

The Pacers are a very good ball club, but they are running of fumes without Granger. They played 2 nailbiters in Toronto, and Charlotte. Then they played an emotional double-OT home opening game against the Kings. They won that game and sounded relieved to pull it out after many players exuded heavy minutes. The Spurs played Saturday and had a big 18-point lead against the Jazz. They screwed around and ended up letting the Jazz tie the game, before playing a great 4th Q.San Antonio remembers this and I expect them to bring it here for the whole game without letting up.The Pacers have had trouble scoring and with tired legs against an-angry Spurs team they’ll have trouble here.Spurs in a blowout.
Kings -2 (-110) to win 4 units
The Kings are off of 3 tough road losses to start the season. They played very tough defenses in Chicago and Indiana and they faced a determined Pacers team. One thing to notice in all 3 games is that they were down double digits and fought extremely hard to bring the deficit down. The Kings have never been a good road team, so while they will be disappointed to not have won, they are confident that their hard work will soon pay off after playing good teams tough. The Warriors haven’t been that great and are off of a big upset win against the sloppy Clippers.I think with the Kings coming home they will go balls to the wall to get their first win here. The Warriors guard play will be slowed down by the Kings guards.I think we see a sloppy game with the Kings getting their win of the season.Tempted to play the under but am going to stick with this.

4-1 day! Man that was a tough card. Very forunate the TPups came to life, the Grizzlies stuck with it, and those god damn Kings?!?!?! Oh well that happens when you lay points with a team that hasn't won before I'm just glad they pushed. Bad call on Philly, it was a big man up game and they always do poorly in those. Keepon truckin fellas, hopefully Covers gets some avatars goin here.
