Please believe me when I say, the only way LBJ wins the MVP is if the Cavs win, LBJ is at +300 now. This is a sucker's bet. If you like him to win MVP then you are better off taking Cavs to win the series at +1100.

When Cavs played warriors the first time, LBJ was the best player on the floor and the Cavs had nobody but him, not even Love.
People thought LBJ stood a great shot to win the MVP, but there was one problem: he did not want the MVP! He told the reporters voting on the award not to vote for him if the Cavs lost. The reporters, in turn, decided to respect his wishes. They were not going to give a guy who said he did not want the award the award. So they gave it to the guy guarding him, Iggy.
Unless LBJ has changed his mind about this, there is no point in putting money on him at +300 when you can get the Cavs at +1100!

Yup. I completely agree. Was chatting with one of their online customer service guys telling him what happened. He was so apologetic saying they would get to the bottom of it. I had called twice that day asking for the odds to be put up and just lied to me. Then this guy last night says the other guys should never have told me the mvp odds would be put up because 5 dimes is no longer offering them. Then this morning, I see they have Curry up there at -300. What a bunch lying a holes!

He also said something like "I would try my best to win the game and live with the result" when asked about the FMVP race. You can interpret the answer however you like but in my opinion he would be the FMVP as long as he outperformed all the Warriors' players even if the Cavs eventually lost that Game 7 (before that game he was already leading in 5 main stats among players from both teams). I studied this before that game because I was surprised by the FMVP odds (around -250) he got before that game despite that the Cavs were the underdog to win.

I started very late in the playoffs (after I had give out three straight winners ). Before that, I had not wagered since last year's playoffs. His line couldn’t have been any better in the final game to win the MVP.
It was the Cavs lack of effort and this game was essentially viewed as 48 minutes of garbage time. Had they even remotely competed and GS won, he would have won.

Good point, Scal. Had not thought of that. Curry was genuinely disappointed, and the Warrior players (including Durant) and coaches got very defensive when asked about Curry not getting the MVP. Having watched this Warrior team closely, I could see they were irked. Durant wanted Steph to get the MVP as well. 7 voted for Durant and 4 for Curry. Big win for Nike, though.

KD is a ring-chaser who joined the warriors party. he will never be loved like he was in okc and he will always be behind Curry, Thompson and Draymond in terms of fan adoration.
