You sound ridiculous. A fan of a team and not the game? I'm a fsn of the team because I am a fan of the game and there my home team. Has any of you ever played organized basketball? Coached even a youth team? Driven a son or a nephew all over the earth for an AAU tournament? Do you know what AAU is? Regardless of what you may think, you don't know or love basketball more than me. As far as the impact Steph has had on the game, it's a bunch of kids (and adults) who don't have Steph Curry's shooting prowess casting a bunch of 3's they...

they have no business taking. If you've ever watched a college team 3 for 22 from beyond the arc keep chucking, that's the Steph Curry effect. Philly giving up a +20 lead to the Celtics because they kept running down court and jacking up 3's...Steph Curry effect. The Rockets missing however many 3's they missed in that game 7 yet they kept shooting...Steph Curry. 3 is more than 2 though, right?
Atleast Dave spoke to what Steph's shooting does to floor spacing. That is a valid point but to point to how Steph Curry has made the whole world 3 point shooters as a positive just shows how little you know. And truth be told, that's not even all on Steph. The league was already becoming 3 point crazy.

Every word out of your mouth is a concession, my friend. Everyone is trying to do what Steph is doing, the Rockets and Sixers, two of the best teams in the NBA, are trying to do what Steph is doing. Just cause they are not succeeding like him does not mean he is not affecting how the game is played. This everyman is transforming how people view the game because of how he plays. When Shaq played, did you see guys trying to put on 200 pounds and grow six inches:) Of course they are not as good as Steph, but give it a few years. I bet you will see more guys like Steph playing than Magic, Bird, and Shaq. You sound like an old man, a bitter golden-ager, longing for the good old days, when guys still shot hook shots and bank shots. Sorry pal, those days are gone, and you can thank Steph for that!

And again, I can't stress enough, Steph is one of my favorite players. I appreciate Steph Curry the most any adult man could without being a fsnboy. The Warriors as we know them, the darlings of the NBA, winning championships, doesn't happen without Steph. I love the guy but I don't let that love cloud my judgement.
And as far as Shaq goes. As much as I love the Warriors and hate the Lakers, as much as the traditional big is extinct in this league, if those Lakers played these Warriors, Shaq would average 35 and 15 with 2-3 blocks. You can only hack a shaq so much. He would foul out 2 guys a game, one of them being Draymond. Draymond is my favorite player but he couldn't guard Shaq. That's just a fact.

BTW, Stu, you are a cool guy. I like you. Let's meet up one of these days in oak town; not in a dark alley, because you are probably tougher than me:) but over a beer. Would love to hang out for a bit. Let me know.

Old man? I'm 35. And the bottom line is I just know basketball more than you. And i'm a bigger Warriors fan than you but I don't let that fandom get in the way of the truth.

For sure. The cool part about Oakland is there's bars and reataurant's that just weren't there 10 years ago. It's bittersweet because of the gentrification but i'm a social person so I like it. I'm in SF a lot too so we could meet in either city. A lot of my close, buddies are my Union brothers and are SF natives so i'm taking in rounds in the city quite often.

This debate has ran it's course though. I'm cool with you, BB. I'm cool with Dave. We both have love with Steph and the Warriors just won another title. I wish Steph would've won MVP but i'm not mad at KD getting it. Game 3 was as close to a single-handed victory as you can get in a team sport and the series only went 4 games. So there wasn't a lot you could base it on.
