Denver Nuggets - 6

pick Nuggets is because I like their energy and attitude this season under
coach Malone and because Pelicans haven't got any roster at all right now.
There are guys in that team that recieve plenty of minutes on the court and i
can't even pronounce their names correct. Denver won last two times at NO with
more than 6 points so they are familiar with winning on that arena. NOP have
chance to win this game only if Denver throw out the towel and somehow decide
to give up the game. Strongly don't recommend to follow this garbage. I bet it
only because i need some plays already...

Really don't know why you don't want to make the cut and just let it go. I play everyday. Win or lose, garbage games or not. I'm going to make the cut. When playoffs comes and no matter where you are in this threads standings. You can still make a run for the top. Otherwise I'll just stay hot and gun for that number 1 spot. Anything can happen, good cappers run into some bad streak and the good streak. So just make a play just time make the cut. And let us know if it's a forced action or if you actually put thought into it. As always, like reading your post but scroll through the non sense in here.

That's the difference between me and regular bettors. I don't like to force plays if i don't like the schedule or any particular time of the year for betting. What's the point to play every day and risk my investments in something that i don't like. My goal is not to win the contest with throwing out picks... my goal is to make money with this "hobby" and my strategy for doing that is different. More plays = bigger chance to lose in long term. That's the reason many of the contestants drop their percentages lately... cause they are not enough patient when it needs. Tell me you really like game every day and i won't believe you. I prefer to bet big and rare instead of small and often. That's the key for success for me. I participate in this contest to give covers members wins not to win the whole thing. If i can't make the cut so what ? SW even told me that it's possible that I won't get the award cause I'm from Eastern Europe   I will continue to post my non-contest record and my plays cause i believe every fella here want to see what i like. I will give my best but just don't want to throw out some bets and hope that the coin toss will cover me.

Orlando +7.5

I like Orlando with the points.  Indiana has not been beating teams by more than 7 points in their last 10 games (except Philly and NO, who both suck).  I'll take 7.5 with Orlando who has recently beat up Chicago and Brooklyn by large double digits.  Indiana has also beat Orlando the prior three meetings and I think Orlando might be fired up to get a win back.

Today I will do my best to stay positive by backing the #1 ranked bipolar team Houston Rockets.  They have been alternating Ws and Ls against teams.  The Bulls are in the playoff mix but haven't been able to string anything together either.  If the Rockets win the 1Q then they tend to win the game.  If they lose, it's bye bye.  So rather than tracking this game for 2.5 hours, I'd rather only pay attention to these teams for 30 mins

My system has the Total hitting 206.17, but that's inflated a bit because of Orlando scoring 111 vs the Bulls and 139 vs the Nets. Those were both at home, on the road here I expect a natural regression for the Magic.

Congratz on your record Funk. I feel the same way. In order to make money sports betting, you really have to pick your spots and when the opportunities presents itself you slam it BIG. The more games you bet the more chance of you losing. Everyone has their own method of wagering, but I prefer to bet big on a few games rather than small on a lot of games. I hope you get into the contest but if not, then it's cool. Good luck.

You can make a contest play without wagering any money just to make the cut is all I'm saying.

Cavs 1Q -5.5

Nets are awful 1Q generally, but we're even with Heat on last game. Cavs lost 1Q and game v Rockets at home. Both revert today, Cavs by DD.

here's my thoughts: we are a small, good group of 25 adults who are having fun with this Contest, we've kinda made the Cuts and rules up as we go trying to find our way with honesty, integrity and fun being the guiding principles. We certainly don't want to lose a player like Funk b/c he was 3-4 plays short due to his discipline, which I think is great. Conversely, if people only posted a play every 10 days then I doubt we'd have the same thread, it's a balance. I like the idea of 53% and above move on after April 13th. I'm not opposed to having all 25 players chime in and allow Funk to continue if he falls short of the minimum 10 plays either. The excitement and fun is in some guys/gals like to play a game everyday and some don't, that's ok cause we are all in the same boat. Now I'ma drink a lil and come up with my streak buster on the Blazer game.
