Back with a positive day. Thought Denver might get me the sweep but wasn't to be. If I had been selective in NCAA would be 2-1 there too but add on bets doomed that. Need to know when to let potentials just pass.
So 2-1 here though and got the big bet for +1.9 units.
Overall 96-92-3 for +3.1 units.

Nuggets - They hung around long enough but fell apart in the end. That three way tie at the top definitely has these guys in no letdown mode.
Cavs Portland tried to pull away but the Cavs are pretty gutsy at home. Thought they were going to get it in OT. Fat Bynum got run ragged but it did show in a slower pace he can actually contribute. DEfinitely off the fade list.

Post-Mortem:
Lakers - Too many missing pieces for the Grizz.

Shouldn't have rushed, would have got another point. Detroit playing well on the road but Boston has done well at home versus real competition. I just see a let down game from the Pistons after they beat the Pacers.
Care-o-meter: Boston 7. Brad Stevens has to be pleased that A the East sucks and B hell get Rondo back in about a month. Need to keep the home wins going. Detroit 5. They have to be A full of themselves a little after beating the Pacers and B They realize they can win the big ones....so maybe the little ones don't matter as much.

Mikey - I know there is SOME level of competitiveness but remember, it's still a job and like in any job, if you are there a while you get into ruts unless there is constant motivation. And yes even millionaires do.
I remember reading an article about Raiders receiver Louis Murphy when he was a rookie and he'd go apeshit on blown calls, the losses, etc. and in the article, he said that his teammates talked to him and said, hey it's a just job, remember to take the losses better, etc.
Now was this a terrible team locker room? Of course but its only a 16 game schedule and the complacency was screaming through.
In an 82 game season, there are bound to be moments where the intensity lapses - if not to a losing atmosphere as I described above, then to outside forces like bills, wife, family, hoes, pushing their biz venture, whatever.
Not saying its the end all but it's fun to see if my assessments carry any weight and help or hurt with my picks.
Just my two cents.
