Here is Tim Tebow's schedule, beginning with the 1st game he started.

Week 7 - @ Miami Dolphins Win (Covered Spread) Miami Dolphins = Below average football team
Week 8 - @ Detroit Lions Loss (Lost Spread) Detroit Lions = Above average football team (Playoff team)
Week 9 - @ Oakland Raiders Win (Covered Spread) Oakland Raiders = Below average football team in 2nd half of season
Week 10 - @ Kansas City Chiefs Win (Covered Spread) Kansas City = Below average football team (Matt Cassell suffered injury in that game, taken over by Tyler Palko)
Week 11 - NY Jets Win (Covered Spread) NY Jets = Average Football team (BEING GENEROUS) Huge dissapointment this season.
Week 12 - @ San Diego Chargers Win (Covered Spread) San Diego Chargers = Below average football team (Dissapointing season)
Week 13 - @ Minnesota Vikings Win (Covered Spread) Minnesota Vikings = Below average football team (One of the worst in the league)
Week 14 - Chicago Bears Win (Did Not Cover Spread) Chicago Bears = Below average football team after Jay Cutler injury (Caleb Hanie was starting QB in that game) (Miraculous win)
WEEK 15 - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS LOST (DID NOT COVER SPREAD)
FINAL SCORE = 41 - 23 PATRIOTS, COVERED 1ST HALF, 2ND HALF, GAME FOR TRIFECTA. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS = ELITE FOOTBALL TEAM (AFC CHAMPS)

Tim Tebow won 7/8 games he started, covered 6/8 games in those contests. The schedule he had was absolutely below average. Once he faced ELITE competition, which was the New England Patriots, THE DENVER BRONCOS GOT EXPOSED.

Now you ask why I braught that certain situation up when handicapping a NBA game. Well, the situation I'm about to describe has a very similiar feel to the one I just explained. Jeremy Lin ever since taking the starting PG position for the Knicks has been on an absolute roll, winning 7 straight games, and covering 6/7 of those games. But let's break down the teams that he has played in this 7 game stretch.

New Jersey Nets - Win (Covered Spread) Nets = Below average basketball team
Utah Jazz - Win (Covered Spread) Utah Jazz = Average basketball team (VERY BAD ROAD TEAM)
@ Washington Wizards - Win (Covered Spread) Washington Wizards = Below average basketball team
Los Angeles Lakers - Win (Covered Spread) Lakers = Above average basketball team (VERY BAD ROAD TEAM)
@ Minnesota T'Wolves - Win (Covered Spread) = Average basketball team (Knicks were down by 12 at half, made come back to win)
@ Toronto Raptors - Win (Lost Spread) Toronto Raptors = Below average basketball team (Knicks were down by double digits, came back to win game with game winning shot by Lin)
Sacramento Kings - Win (Covered Spread) Sacramento Kings = Below average basketball team

As you compare the schedule of the Knicks with the Broncos, you can tell both players came in and CAPITALIZED at the right time when the schedules they had were extremely weak. I'm not taking anything away from Jeremy Lin, he has definately improved the NY Knicks, these were games the Knicks would of definately lost before, so he has completely changed the atmosphere of the Knicks, BUT HE HAS YET TO PLAY ELITE COMPETITION.

ALL THE VALUE IS GOING TO BE ON THE HEAT IN THIS GAME, THIS IS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE HEAT (AN ELITE BASKETBALL TEAM) TO GIVE A REALITY CHECK TO THE KNICKS AND THE FAIRY TAIL RUN THEY ARE CURRENTLY ON, JUST LIKE THE PATRIOTS DID TO THE BRONCOS.
