It is so unpredictable and hard to handicap. I don't care what anyone says this sport is rigged. Betting second half NBA is the only way to go. After watching the Golden State warrior game last night convinces me even more that the risk enjoy the game. I did not bet on the warriors but I'm a warrior fan and it's even noticeable if you don't have money on.
Don't give me wrong I'm not saying I don't bet on NBA because I'm a loser just like everyone else on the site and loves to gamble

Agreed. I have to be quite selective on games to play on, and look harder at the "obvious" numbers not being quite so obvious. I currently stand 16-12 on the season, and well over half of those I think come down to within a possession or two of the ATS or game total lol.

Raps could have, should have won. Warriors got some real good help from some blind zebras. Regardless fixed or not it is what it is. League don't care. Money triumphs all.

Yup. As I look at the NBA board I get a headache. It is really a coin flip. I did something different last week and just took totals and yea I lost everyone. Lol. If I had an over I would get a 39 point 4th quarter if I had an under there would be a 59 point fourth quarter

Agreed, this year has been brutal especially with Dogs winning so much I have changed my mind to pick more dogs and have been doing better.
2nd halfs has been better though.
Yea these dogs are winning outright so much. Then I see Bucks getting around 4 last night in Washington thinking they might win with a small line but no they get smashed. I don't even think Vegas knows NBA this year with these lines and totals way off.

Think of it this way: The NBA regular season is just a glorified pre-season and the motivation is not there for pretty much all teams. Losing is just not a big deal in this league..
Then there are teams like the Warriors that have such amazing chemistry and they enjoy beating on other teams but even they tend to relax a lot during games simply because they can afford to.
Only way you can make money in this league is by betting on underdogs but in specific spots. Favorites have no value.. Keep in mind that favorites/good teams are often overrated by bookies because that's what the public likes to bet on.

As technology improves and online betting is now available anywhere, the linesmakers and oddsmakers have to do a very good job, and if you're confused from all this - it means they are doing a good job.
I'm running a discussion with another guy about this here:

NBA has always been the toughest sport to gamble ATS.
You can never know wether a team will be in the mood for playing or not. When I bet football I know what I'm getting. When I bet soccer in particular spots I know what I'm getting. I don't always hit, of course, but at least I see my teams trying and that's fine for me.
In NBA you can bet on the Rockets, for example, and one night get them crashing everything and eating the floor winning by 40, and you can get them not giving a shttt and playing with nothing in their hearts.
Sometimes I look at it in an angle of a viewer. Yeah, I forgot how it is. I don't live in the states, but if I have and I went to basketball games and see my team playing like they don't wanna play, I'd be so pissed. People pay their good money not even realizing they are not getting these athletes at their best every night.
Well it's kinda hard to do 82 straight games a year but I don't care. These guys are payed millions.
And I can't even start discussing referees because I'll puke. They ruin sports for me. YACKS!!!!!
And I'm 21-9 this year (posted) in NBA and 150 place in NBA contest. So I'm doing well but I still hate to see shttt on the basketball floor.

by 2nd half, what you should do generally not always, if first half total ended low, bet 2nd half over, or vice versa
for spread if pregame line is team b+10.5 and team b is losing by 11 on half, 2nd half is pick team b from - or + spread
that is a good way to go if you didnt watch first half, or if no injuries happened etc
ok i understand the team b +10.5 but if the first first half they are losing by 11, wouldnt the 2nd half spread be like +1.5 for team b? Do you still take that? OR what would the spread look like for team b in the 2nd half that you would choose?

You guys don't need to bet the line when it's out, you bet it in live and when you have a better 'price' - if you buy POR@SAS with original line of 200.5 at 162.5 that's a bargain !! Proof:
