NBA Regular Season YTD: 188-166-4, +23.36 units
NBA Playoffs Series Wagers: 2-1, +21.25 units
NBA Playoffs YTD: 2-4, -10.80 units
For any of you country music fans out there (I know there's probably a ton on the NBA board, lol), I got a chance to see Darius Rucker in concert last night cause the wife is a huge fan of his country stuff... good show, not exactly my type of music, but I would recommend it to anyone who likes that genre. He is a talented performer.
Today's play:
1. Memphis Grizzlies -3 (-110), 4.4 to win 4 units
I think we get an Atlanta 2.0 spot here, Memphis has been the better team all series and they will definitely be giving 100% effort to close this thing out at home. Don't forget, this series probably should have been done at 4-1 but Gary Neal hit an extremely difficult shot to send Game 5 to OT, if he misses that then MEM is celebrating on SAS' home floor with a near sweep of the mythical Spurs.
I think that MEM knows they can beat this team seeing as they have basically beat them 4 out of 5 games this series. Add in the fact that MEM is 4-0 against SAS at home this year, with wins coming by 18, 3, 7, and 16 points, and I think there is a ton of value in this line. With an underdog team, or a team that lacks experience in playoff pressure situations, having confidence is absolutely crucial to have any chance to beat a crafty, experienced squad with three great players and a Hall of Fame coach like SAS possesses, especially in a close out game. Don't be surprised if this ends up being a DD win for Memphis tonight. Their crowd should be fantastic and the Spurs have not shown any observer an objective reason to like them tonight only catching a single possession.
