1. Minnesota Laying Chalk
The Timberwolves have struggled mightily in close games this season. When they have won, it's been by double digits. Of their 21 wins, 13 have been by double digits. But let's check how they have done laying 7 points or more. ATS, Minny is 8-5 in that situation. As underdogs of 7 or more, the Lakers are 9-11 ATS.
Advantage: Minnesota
2. Injuries
The Lakers are obviously without Kobe, but for this game there's no Gasol either. Give them credit, as for all their injuries, the Lakers have played hard. The T-Wolves are without Pekovic. Gasol really isn't a factor defensively, so while it may seem as if Love should go off now, I think he'd be going HAM regardless. It's possible that the Lakers get Nash, Blake, and Farmar back for this game. Big plus for them. But the T-Wolves still have the advantage here.

3. Look-Ahead Game
This is a big factor and one that will cause me to steer clear of this game. The T-Wolves are in OKC tomorrow night. They could easily be up 14 going into the 4th and hit the snooze button, only to win by 7. Potential for a back-door cover looms large here.
Advantage: Los Angeles
4. The TOTAL
As usual, we have a really high number here at 217.5. The Lakers play no defense whatsoever, and could go really small for this game, so I can't take the UNDER. Gasol is a major offensive piece for them, so I can't go OVER here.
