Anyone care to give their take on why Atlanta are underdogs here? Atlanta has out played Boston on both ends of the floor. While they're not incredibly crisp on offense, they have enough shooting to out shoot Boston extremely inconsistent play. And their defense has been the best so far in the playoff. (A lot of that is on Boston's play offense **7pts in first quarter???**) But still, I've been impressive by Atlantas defense and that's something they can control even if balls aren't falling.
Whatcha talking? This feels like a trap. It should be Atlanta -3 in my books.

Before the series even begun, do you think that Atlanta was going to sweep Boston..? I think most people/expert think this series is going to be 6 or 7 games.. so with that in mind.. Bostons must get 1 or 2 win at some point.

I would take Celtics or not touch the game at all. Bradley is a good player but by no means was he the player that lead the celts to their record this year. It was a team effort. In Game 1 they almost came back and won down many pts. Game 2, not sure what the heck happened to them. But if you think ATL wins the next 2 games in Boston then you are a terrible gambler. The Celts in the second half of game 1 is the team that shows up tonight times 100. I'm taking the Celts ML. Just my .2 cents.

I think OP and others must know this as well...and likely just started this thread for controversy.
Nobody is going to be on Atlanta tonight. that is what makes me think Atlanta will cover. I also do like Boston ML but probably in a close game. Unless of course Boston is just a gift.

( Spurs -12 ) book it. The Spurs need the rest when they can get it period. Closing out Memphis would solidify that. Now in between the numbers . The Spurs the best road team in the NBA over the past 4 seasons including postseason. Worried about 12 ? The Spurs also have the best road record beating teams by double digits over the past 4 seasons. The guys in the desert really dont where to set this line. The Spurs will wear down a depleted Memphis team and win by 20 easy .

Like how Cam Newton were favored. GTFO here with your negativity. This is an honest discussion. No troll DUHHHH.
What does that have to do with an NBA playoff spread? You're actually reinforcing how much of a retard you are.
I didn't say it was a troll, I gave you an honest answer. Celtics have one of the best home records in the NBA. They are one of the best rebounding teams in the league as well and one of the very few teams to beat the Dubs on the road, have a legit star in Isiahah Thomas and have all the tools to win this game if they crash the boards and get to the line like a home team should. Thomas had a bad game last time so I'd expect him to bounce back They have every right to be a small favorite here, and if you don't realize that, then you really don't understand how to cap NBA playoffs, sorry. Getting caught up in the last game is how you lose.

Getting caught up in the last game? I'm basing this question on much more than that. Avery Bradley is hurt and that is a big lost in the defense and scoring department. Celtics are a complete lost on one end and have been playing like garbage the last couple games. Including the the two games at home prior to the playoffs which meant a lot in terms of seedings, they were out classed by Hornets (who are folding against the Heat) and probably should have lost by a lot to the Heat too if the Heat didn't score only 5points in the 3rd quarter)
They are one of the best rebounding teams in the league as well and one
of the very few teams to beat the Dubs on the road?
OKAY. What does that have do with anything? Minnesota and Lakers beat the Warriors too. Those type of stats don't mean anything when you're capping.
Have a legit star in
Isiah Thomas? I'll give you that. I like Isiah actually. He's just been streaky and needs a big game. But Atlanta has more than enough bodies to put on him.
Point being, Atlanta has been out playing Celtics even before the playoffs and it's strange to see them as the small underdogs here.
I guess this game must have a lot of home court value if you think Celtics are the better team just because they're at home.

This post is hilarious because it shows how little you know about basketball. First of all this is the PLAYOFFS so you can throw that Celtics home record out of the window. They haven't won a playoff game in like what, 2 years?? Secondly, playoffs are all about match-ups and Atlanta is a terrible match-up for Boston on BOTH ends of the floor. I can go into detail but I'm just going to make it simple: Do you know why Isiah had a bad game 2?? Because they are blitzing him every time and forcing his teammates(who are TERRIBLE shooters) to hit jumpshots. Good luck having your money rest on the shoulders of 20% shooters like Marcus Smart. All Atlanta has to do is simply take out Isiah which is what they're doing by collapsing on him. When Bradley was there it was different because he could actually hit a shot but they were out-matched either way, now it's match worse.
HELL NO Celtics should not be favorites in this game but hey, nba where amazing happens right??

I'll agree Atlanta has had the Celtics number as of late.
Simply take out Isiah, one of the top 10 scorers in the league? Ok.
Would not be in any way amazing if Boston was to win. That is WHY they are favored.
Anyway I'm done trying to explain this to you thickos. Why not just make a bet on Atlanta to sweep then, you'll get great odds.
Fwiw, I was on Atl for Game 1 and 2, it's not like I don't rate them as a good team. I think they'll advance but they're going down tonight, bank on it.

Jesus the celtics hate here is insane... Theyve had 2 bad games in which one they only lost by one... Injuries hirt for sure but they are much better home team than away and if u watched basketball all year you know atlanta can play like SHIT on the road... They lost to the wizards BACKUPS with the 3 seed on the line recently... Boston should be favored here...

Celtics are in total control. Guess I know a little something! Maybe they should have been favored after huh?
