This is going to be a game between two teams already eliminated from contention and sporting horrible losing streaks (phoenix with 4 and blackwater with 5). However, even if they lost the last 5 games, Blackwater appeared more competitive and faced tougher competition (SMB, GIN, MER, ALA, ROS) than phoenix (MAG, ROS,ALA, COL, NP).
Phoenix, whose only significant loss was abueva, looked much more dysfunctional than blackwater, who lost their core sans Mac Belo . Yet again, Alonzo Gee looked like a headless chicken during their game against Alaska, while Marqus Blakely looked like the dominant perimeter defensive force against Ginebra and San Miguel. Gee will never return to the PBA with that kind of abyssmal performance.
With respect to the scoring, and considering that these teams have nothing to fight for anymore aside from pride, expect their defense to be brought down a notch. Based on my experience, when we were already out of a playoff or championship contention, and there was nothing at stake except to play, we tend to lag on defense and focus on scoring because admittedly, basketball is much more fun when you're scoring, and i'm sure both teams understand that.
I'm pretty sure that if both teams have moved on from the fact that they are already eliminated from contention, this will be an enjoyable game not only for them but also for the fans as well. Oh, and expect a career night from doug kramer (because career high final games are the thing now, i guess), so if there's a prop for his points, pound on it.

In stark contrast to the first game, this one is going to be a slug fest. Colombian is fighting to assure their playoff spot while Ginebra is gunning for that twice to beat advantage in the quarterfinals, however, this is going to be Deja Vu for Colombian (from their game against Meralco).
Tim Cone is a great coach and considering he is a thousand times better than me in analyzing games, I'm sure he saw Colombian's game against Meralco where the Dyip's transition game was slowed down considerably by meralco foregoing much of their half court sets in favor of quickly setting up a transition defense. If Ginebra utilizes their strong wing presence, it's going to be a looooong game for Columbian (The only way to prevent this is if Columbian actually makes their mid-range shots with their oft-used pick and roll to pop offense in the first quarter, which will force Ginebra to change gears). Expect a grindy game, and if ginebra manages to get a huge lead early on, expect the scoring to end up in the 180s.

BOL to you too flossman. A part of me feels that phoenix has to win this one for doug kramer, but something tells me that winning by 5 or more is going to be very difficult unless they hand their keys to Gee and he somehow goes supernova against them.
