Love the nba playoffs...love how perceptions and consensus change so drastically from game to game...leaves great opportunity for the true gamblers who look at the big picture and aren't caught up in the game to game hype that comes with the playoffs, especially the finals where each game is magnified. Cavs prior to this series were going to give GSW a run for their money. After two blowouts the Warriors before were basically going to win this series in 3 games. Now after game 3 I know where the consensus is going to be. Similar to the last okc/gsw series. Gsw were favorites in both game 3 and 4 at okc, only to get anhilated. Along with that, in game 5, a must win for gsw, okc was in it and took the lead in the 3q. So what happened in game 6...okc was favorite in game 6 and favorite by 3.5 PERCEPTIONS, PERCEPTIONS, PERCEPTIONS. As posted I went big and took advantage of this and made one of the biggest bets of my betting career on gsw in this game (as well as in game 2 of the finals). I followed this up in game 7. I'm not sure what's going to happen in game 4, I took the cavs in Game 3 because I value home court more than odds makers, at least deep in the playoffs, game 4 is a toss up for me but Game 5 regardless of what happens is going to be another LARGE play for me. I'm a warriors fan but glad cavs won game 3 to guarantee a game 5.....I'm passing on game 4 and ready to empty my pockets game 5. Home court is one of many readons. I know most will disagree after Game 3 and especially if cavs win Game 4. Most don't know me for nba but nba playoffs are my strength and I don't feel there is anybody better. Warriors huge game 5. I don't post much in general because I lost my luster for this place....and the fanfare for those that market themselves but there are some good people here I respect so I make an appearance here and there. Good luck all.
Again Golden State Warriors Game 5 big.
GL all...will make appearances similar to the nba playoffs during football.

Cal, glad you are doing well and winning. I have no qualms about any of the picks you mentioned. But you have to admit, that game 6 win in OKC was practically a miracle. I've been watching these games for 30+ years, and that performance Thompson put on (with all the pressure in the world), playing against the better team (yes OKC was the better team in that series) at home, down the entire game, with no breathing room and no margin foe error, was truly amazing. Steph and Klay hit 17 3's! The Warriors lose that game 9 out of 10 times, imo. But glad you won, and glad the Warriors won.
As a fan, these blowouts are not fun to watch, though they must be extremely fun for the bettor who is on the right side. Here is a little stat I read today:
"This was the latest in a series of enormous blowouts this spring -– the 10th 30-point-plus margin, the 20th 25-point-plus margin and the 32nd 15-point-plus margin. Nearly 40 percent of the 82 postseason games this year have been decided by 15 or more, almost double the previous high, and home teams are winning nearly 70 percent of their games, more than 10 percent better than the regular season mark, one of the most lopsided differentials in the past two decades."
Anyway, I don't know what all these no-shows mean during playoff games (and by a supposedly all time great team like the Warriors no less), but it disgusts me as a fan of the sport in general and the warriors in particular (who have "lost six playoff games by the baffling totals of one, 12, six, 28, 24 and now 30 points"). I don't recall beatdown after beatdown between two good teams. These guys are now playing like the millionaires they are, showing up to play whenever they feel like it.

I don't play the nba much but I did grab the Cavs in the series at plus 2-1. After watching GS against OKC I thought I had picked up some value and even could have hedged a bit if the Cavs split in G.S. . At this point I'm hoping Cavs can pull out a game 2 so I have an oppurtunity to buy out of my bet. With that being said I have no clue what team will show up on any given night. The warriors are a team like no other they can go on a 13-0 run in less than 2 minutes.Wish the games were more competitive. Cavs still have James and Kyrie And curry not looking like his old self probably due to the injury. Gun to my head I lean State at this point for the series based on explosiveness and home court.

I will definitely keep this thread in mind as game 5 approaches. It doesnt change my mind in any way or influence my stance but i do find it interesting how you just pop out of nowhere. Saying there is nobody better? Well......I like your confidence. Almost blindly betting a game 5 without knowing the storyline or result from game 4 ? Very ballsy. Good luck with that approach. Your money amigo. Let's play game 4 first It should be a good one amigo.

If you consider getting lucky the way to wager so be it, anyone that knows sports saw how lucky GS was to cover game 7 vs okc, so basically your saying its better to be lucky than good and bragging about it.

Game 6 was another miracle win for GS. Amazing you are posting this like your giving a lesson when you got exceptionally lucky in both games. I had GS in game 6 only cause the price +145 but was a miracle win. The way they covered game 7 was another miracle.
