does this game really start at 3pm? That’s early...I think Cavs are going to suffer turnovers that will be the diff and any momentum killer. Somehow they incredibly took care of the ball with only 7 TOs in G1 when they avg 15+, Raps should be active and Force 15 TO and that will seal Cavs scoring and fate. I like the fact that Mauer holds roatd teams down and Cavs got 104 with him, that should regress. This isn’t the same Cavs that rolled thru playoffs last year avg’ing 113ppg, they dropped off 10ppg in Pacers series. I’d be shocked if Raps don’t smother them with a wet blanket.

I was dead wrong on the unders, Cavs only turned the ball over 3 times, I repeat 3 times according to ESPN box score as I don't watch the games. That would be 7 in G1 and 3 in G3 I don't think that is even humanly possible really as teams avg 11-13 per game.

are there any SDL guys that can query that stat as it's quite amazing

don't panic, lost all 15 bets tonight as the NBA will make you look silly with a 21-20 road record Cavs beating a 34-7 home record Raps twice and an up and coming Philly lose to a starless Celtics twice...

I'm a little depressed about really not being able to submit an under as those account for all my losses, I thought I'd never see the day where unders are dead and buried even in the contested playoffs but I guess we are here which to me is kinda sad

what will tomorrow bring?

jman you gotta think one of those 0-2 teams will come back and win series, I can't imagine Cs keep advancing w/out Kyrie and Hayward while Philly has the new breed in Simmons and Embiid...maybe my brain is warped but it makes no sense to me..now if Kyrie was in then a Cavs Cs match-up is made in heaven but really Cs w/out top 2 will make East Finals? 

what happened to Raps, maybe the road where they are 4-15 is where they need to go

I feel like we are all being set up. Media gushes over Raps and Philly before series starts now they are all on Raps doom and gloom suicide watch and Stevens being next President of the World. I smell a bait and switch coming...

i think Sixers could get both of these wins in game 3 and 4. will they cover the spread? maybe. could be very similar to the Bucks series but i think in the end the C's just have that little extra something that makes them special. Sixers are an upcoming team but just young and inexperienced. they've impressed me and will be a good team for the next several years i just don't think this is their year yet

Philly -9.5 in game 3 if the Covers matchup page has me to believe 

just seemingly begging for C's money..  i think Sixers take game 3, but not sure about the cover. i would take C's spread but i think it's better to rest on my laurels and enjoy my winnings from game 1 and 2.

ok DK, but let's think about this: do we all agree that 76ers/Celtics is the new Hou/GS series for the next 5 years? If yes, would it make sense that the series rivalry started off with a wounded Cs team beating a fully healthy Philly team to start the rivalry? If yes, then what do they need Kyrie and Gordon for? I really believe at some point Philly meet Cavs or Raps as it benefits the League zero and actually loses credibility if a shuffled trade ridden Cavs and a starless Cs make the Finals, doesn't hold water with me, it insults intelligence, it insults Canada and their long suffering team that finally secured top berth and it insults Kyrie and Hayward.

Hey old buddy... So just ran a SDQL query on teams that turned the ball over 7 times or less in 2 straight games. The Rockets did it recently before playing the Jazz in their game #1. They did it in the final 2 games vs the Wolves. 

Just go to the SDQL query search bar and type in'

p:TO and pp:TO<=7 and that will bring you the results. 

Home favs in this spot are 22-11 ATS after turning the ball over less than 8 times in their previous last 2 games. 

just do, p:TO<=7 and pp:TO<=7 and HF

Cavs just swept the raptors on there Home floor. Tough to see them losing. I bet raptors series too but that is dead money. All other series are still in diapers. Celtics did what they are supposed to do. Now it’s the Sixers turn. Cavs were not supposed to win a game yet, and they’ve won 2.

Well buddy you have Foster/Ayote/Lewis as your ref crew. In 7 post season games this year Foster has allowed home team an avg of 106ppg. In 8 reg season games Foster has allowed 120ppg for Warriors and 108ppg to their opponents. In last year's playoffs Foster allowed the home team 105ppg in 12 games.and the road team avg 108ppg.

One thing working for you is Foster already reff'd a dud Pels @ Ws game in Nov 95-110 loss where Durant didn't play and Curry had an off game and Pels were on b2b.So all signs show no repeat and an increase from that scoring. Also, it's clear that Foster games have a definite agenda as he brings teams back from the brink of extinction to prolong series and if he is in for that reason then Pels should get their points. Also Lewis is the top over ref in the League and when he and Foster get together there are fireworks and when Lewis is ref in GS they avg 119ppg and Pels avg 120ppg w/ Lewis.

Hope this helps. I'm still a lil shell shocked fro last nights under losses so will most likely sit these out and just watch and gather info for future games. Best of luck whatever you decide

I see where your coming from and don't disagree with your logic that this league is run by the superstars, but sometimes things aren't always vanilla or goes according to script. 

i beg to differ that a team like the Celtics making it to the Finals is bad business for the NBA just because Kyrie isn't playing or they have a lack of "stars" on the team.. maybe the "superstar-less" Celtics might be better than we thought they were and have "superstars" in the making? If the C's beat the Sixers without Irving and Hayward i think that is irrelevant with how the series/rivalry will be viewed going forward. If anything, it will just mean a much better series next year when those players return going against a much more determined Sixers squad. If we are going with the GS/Hou analogy then maybe the C's will be like the Dubs of the East and the 76ers being like the Rockets. Maybe the C's dominate them in the early going and eventually Sixers will break through couple years later.  


Lets face it, and you are right about the Cavs who seemingly replaced nearly their entire roster overnight. competitive fairness in the NBA? It's a joke we all know that. Quite frankly i'm done seeing another Warriors vs Cavs finals. in my opinion this would be bad for basketball if Cavs return. three is enough , time for a change. it would be more intriguing to see another team from the East make it through. I'm rooting for any team in the East other than the Cavs to make it but of course i'm voting with my dollar on the Celtics. 

I guarantee you this would be the talk of the NBA if Lebron's 7 straight Finals streak is snapped. why can't the C's do it? they have the defense to frustrate the Cavs and are a familiar opponent. not to mention they, just like the Raptors, have been thoroughly dominated by LBJ in recent years. problem with the Raptors is they are too soft, and lets be honest noone really cares about a Canada team making it to the Finals. Boston has much more marketability because they are a historic NBA franchise and haven't been back to the Finals in sometime. The Sixers despite being a little more talented lack the experience and I don't think they could handle a 7 game series with Lebron. i think the C's have the best shot to unseat the King. it just makes sense we get Celtics vs Cavs again in the ECF. i know the Celtics used to give Lebron trouble early in his career. maybe the roles will reverse once again. the last time the C's beat Lebron in the playoffs, Lebron left for Miami the following year. as far as my take on LBJ rumors potentially heading out West and maybe joining the Lakers. it doesn't make sense to me, he would have to play against 3 good West teams before getting there, he would be better off staying in the East. then again who knows maybe he leaves again and history repeats itself thanks to the C's

i like to add.

if the Celtics make it, or maybe the Sixers make it to the Finals or even the Cavs(i hope not). that's because they were the better team and played well at the right time. plain and simple.

but if Lebron does indeed decide to dip for another team after the season, the Celtics would make more sense if he cares so much about trying to outbeat MJ. but then again Kyrie is there and doesn't want to be in his shadow again. Sixers would be a good fit too. just saying...
