Well guys, to the posters above who came back, I did end up betting the Kings...in a teaser with NC State over Xavier (and that leg hit easily). But that was my own play and I had not posted that play here obviously, and only posted that Vegas had to have the Kings in the OP and at a minimum this had to be a close, and you can only side with them more often than not in certain spots to be a long-term winner.
I only like to post straight up picks and not teases (two write-ups necessary!) and because they announced Cousins was a go so late, I couldn't get back to the phone in time to post a play.
And I would have been forced to side with Vegas if I did bet SU but wouldn't have been comfortable in any way doing so. The tease for me was the right play.
I will say squares took it straight up the a** here.
Does 'Vegas know?'
If they planned on Wall missing those two free throws, then they are psychic. Do I believe they knew something like that could happen? No. This was a very poor line at -1 and even -2 Wiz as those are lines that require a SU win for the kings and they needed angel's wings to pull it off.
I really feel bad for the squares here.
The squares had to have piled on the Wiz. They have learned their lesson well before this game with Sacto as the Kings have literally stood over you money with lighter fluid and a cigarette ready to flick burning ash on their bankroll if you supported them many times this year. When they saw a hot Wiz team visiting a struggling Kings team only requiring one point of spread, the Wiz was the public favorite for certain.
Vegas got away with one here big time and to post a line without DC being official? Do they even know who they are dealing with in the kings?
DC - 24 and 14 and they needed EVERY SINGLE point and rebound from him to make this game what it was. Aaron Gray would have been a disaster and for Vegas to hang a line that was a ML with Gray possibly starting??? Wow...
They are so bad defensively that before OT, Drew Gooden was going to be player of the game for the Wiz. Drew Gooden was on his couch eating Cool Ranch Doritio shell tacos in February before two ten day contracts with the Wiz. Then he comes in and has 18 and 6 last night on 70% shooting.
God bless the squares getting shafted here..."oh the humanity" when Wall missed two of two!!!
Beginner boy, I too was SO tempted to hedge out of my tease (not even SU like you!) but backed off every time trusting that somehow, someway, the atrocious kings would pay off. I had 6.5 though. At 1 or 2 I would have called it a night in the third quarter. Do you believe in miracles? Nice to see you hit and all of LC's followers hit. God help the squares.
