I just recently retired from gambling. I lost 6 straight weeks in a row and now have decided to quit. I can still pick winners, but as soon as I put my own money on the games they lose. I am bad luck. Call me superstitious if you want, but it is the truth. I still love sports and doing the research. I am going to post my plays for awhile and see how I do when I don't put money on them. I will track my record for 1 week. If I still can't pick winners, then I will stop posting. I have a gambling problem and this is my way of quitting but still being a part of it.

No need to wish me luck because I am not playing, but thanks anyways. I won't get sucked back in. I am done but still want to help if I can. My problem was that I was a sucker for parlays. I hit a few and think I can hit them all. I also lacked discipline. I didn't always lose, but I hit the worst streak of my life. I was pretty decent at football, but it was bball that kept killing me. If I was looking good in the first half i.e. OKC/LAC UNDER then it would go to crap in the second half. If I took PHILLY +6.5 vs. MIL and they make a shot to be down 6 with 7 seconds left, then they foul for no reason and then Holiday doesn't shoot it at the end of the game. I took it as a sign.
The good news is that I am in this 25K survivor pool and am guaranteed a cut since there are only 6 players left going into the Super Bowl!
I also win at Fantasy sports (form of gambling). I got 2nd place in my football league and won $600!
I have just hit a bad streak and it forced me to retire.

I wish you good luck not in the games but money management. I too was in your spot. Every game I had money on would lose, then every game I liked and didn't bet would win. Drive me absolutely crazy!!! Until I found a system to gamble responsibly. No game is a gaurantee but when you can manage your bets you can come out ahead! Tonight I'm on Miami, Cavs and SA. Good luck and hope you can find something that works, its a great rush to be part of!!!

Jarrett, I hear you brother. I have always been one of those guys in denial. I realize now that gambling is an addiction and a problem. It isn't a problem if you play within your means and for fun, but that is the hard part....

Thanks JSLU, money management was another problem I had, but it was because I bet with money I didn't have. It looks like you are opposite of my plays which is probably a good thing. I hope you win because you are playing with real money. I am just picking for "fun."

i always laugh at the money management speech.....your going to lose either way.....the only reason most of us are still gambling is the addiction to it

maybe i need to hit rock bottom in gamboing like i did with drinking ( my drinking rock bottom was totalling my car and a cops car , long story...........). what is gambling rock bottom? i dont know...maybe file for bankruptcy , lose my condo , my car ? i dont know
