Dirk can't be a statue on defense and shoot twenty something percent from the floor in playoff games, either. He wasn't even able to foul in time to put the guys who were dunking on the free throw line, which could have made a difference in points and momentum. Instead it was lob city all the 4th quarter. It was a nice run for Dirk, but I think it is officially over, he can't compete on defense any more.
On the other hand, it wasn't all Dirk's fault, Felton looked fat and slow by the end of the game, and Barea was over matched on the perimeter. The Mavs interior players couldn't handle Howard, but they rebounded and defended well for the first three quarters. Those missed layups by the guards were terrible, and the repeated alley oops were embarrassing to watch. Chandler can't defend three guys by himself.
Where the hell were the fouls at? I agree with the MRxKrazz, that was a joke, they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing all those lobs without fouls in a playoff game, this isn't a city rec league game

Harden > Felton + Barea + Ellis

Haha, yeah, I will give you that one, bad choice of words maybe. Dirk is at his all-time worst on the defensive end. How about that? Dirk can't even get in position to foul people any more, and it is fairly disgusting to watch.

His team was up in the 4th quarter (on the road) with no Parsons, no Rondo and no Harris. He must have been doing something right. The team is a mishmash of parts that don't quite fit, and that's not on him (imo). If Josh Smith doesn't turn into Magic Johnson in the 4th, this game could have gone either way.

But isn't that what good team do?? When your superstar doesn't show up then other players on the team will step uP and lead the team to the W. Isn't that what gsw been doing all season having other players step up since curry doesn't show up 100% of the time
