Absolutely not BB. Plus Vanzack had an entire article on why hedging was unwise. And I never forgot that post. I don't hedge since then. Coincidentally my biggest hedge was 2008 when I had Boston to win it all before the season. When Ray Allen was missing everything against the Pistons. All wasted money, they won it all. Now if I had the Knights at 500-1 to win it all I might feel a little different about hedging right now :). But come on. Those are historic odds never to be topped.

I'm torn on who would be a better opponent in the Finals for either GS or Hou. Boston is a huge market and a young speedy Cs team with a great coach this seems like the right time to promote that future and really seems like the perfect situation to send LBJ packing as they have many excuses for him so he bows out to the next generation in the East. I think Stevens and the Cs have paid their dues and it's time for them to get the nod Kyrie-less or not. LBJ has had his run and this seems to fit with him moving on to a new team, doesn't make as much sense to me to have LBJ make Finals and then leave, that's odd to me. Start the where is he going talk tonight, promote and reward Stevens and the Cs and give some sense of balance to the Finals as the Cs will have the aurora of a perfect home court advantage which is better than seeing LBJ get run out of the gym, that wouldn't fuel the hype at all.

Straight, I think GS Cleveland 4 will be bad for the league. Parity always pays. Look at how big the NFL has gotten instituting parity. No one wants GS Cle 4 with what is by far LBJ's worst team of the 4.

This Celtics team has injuries but has readjusted. The Cavs team has injuries and hasn't. The metrics say it all: The spare parts they've acquired fill in admirably here and there but offensive and defensive ratings are their lowest of the 4 teams.

Boston has the best chance to knock off Cleveland in the past 8 years.. Vegas is begging Boston to win tonight.. Millions of $$ in future bets on Cleveland to win Eastern Conference.. I want to slam the Cavs so hard tonight but I am so hesitant. It might be because of all the Celtics bets I saw earlier.. What sounds better for TV ratings? Lebron vs Splash Brothers for 4th consecutive year and 8th straight finals or Splash Brothers vs the young Celtics?
You can never doubt LBJ to close out but Spalsh Borthers vs Young Celtics sounds enticing. Could see that matchup a couple times in the near future..

Jeff Green starting, as predicted. Now will this mercurial guy actually show up today? I have followed his career from the time he was traded to Boston. People forget that he was the 4th wheel in OKC with KD, Westbrook, and Harden. The guy never lived up to his potential, despite everything Boston tried. Ironically enough, what is missing from this guy, or has been missing, is heart, desire, determination. I say ironic because soon after he came to Boston he needed heart surgery. He is like the lion in the wizard of oz. Maybe he will find his courage today. Or maybe he won't.
Looks like he did!

There goes that future. Poof. 34% from the floor and 17% from 3. That was the third wheel in the Lebron Green Celtics meltdown trio. That was the worst outcome imaginable for Celts backers and the only way the Cavs win (they implode late because of their youth and inexperience). Played a perfect first quarter. A decent second and then their youth got to them. GS Cavs 4. An embarrassment of the highest order. Cavs bench shot 2-8 with 6 fouls, and the Cavs won by 8. Disgusting. Celts go the fu** home. You wasted a GOLDEN opportunity. Love out. No gameplan. Played Lebron every second. No practice. You have game 7 at home and you blow your load. Go the fu** home Boston.

"GS Cavs 4. An embarrassment of the highest order."
That sums it all up perfectly.

Scal, their youth did not catch up to them for 10 straight home games. They really made us believe they could not lose at home, especially against a flawed team like the Cavs. But what should have happened in game 5 (cavs making a few timely shots, C's getting tight) happened tonight. Also possible that Love never gives them the game Green gave them. I also thought Stevens got outcoached tonight. But he was never playing with a full deck.

BB I just can't buy into the fact that Green's defense (and less than occasional step up offense) is more valuable than Love. It was all here on a silver platter with the fork and knife and lobster bib tied around Boston's neck. Inexcusable loss. You have to take down ONE guy. Limit him to less than THIRTY and you win. It's not THAT hard with a competent defensive team like Boston when he plays 48 and 48. Disgusting loss here. Some say Boston in the future of the East but this was a MEGA golden opportunity to WIN the East. Who knows what these young guys will turn into without minutes when Kyrie and Gordon take them away (they most certainly won't want to resign with the Celts). I don't think the Celts future is as bright as people think. And to lose a shot at going to the finals???? Terrible. You got beat by Lebron and Jeff GREEN. No ONE else stepped up. AWFUL.

This was not the usual Celtic crowd tonight, even in a close game with Cavs up by 3 pt or Boston up by 3 the crowd didnt seem enthused or try to pump up the team, it was like they were already expecting Lebron to take over the game..
The Cavs/Warriors series has generated 20 million viewers on average per year. I can see why the NBA wouldnt care if we see a part IV because it is a safe cashcow for them since other series in the last 20 years had less interest the only other series that came close was Kobe vs the Big 3 part 2, and Iverson vs Shaq. But i'd be shock if Cavs Dubs part 4 comes close to topping 20 million viewers.... at the same time NBA probably thinks Rockets vs Cavs wont be much of a ratings bonanza. I think most of these viewers are their for the Warriors anyway so if Warriors lose tommorow the NBA is going to hate it. Either way i think it is a lose-lose situation for fans that we get to see the same old same old.
Sip on that plus money honey!

Well, if it is any comfort Pierce seemed as shocked by the outcome as you. In the NBA, star power is everything. It's amazing how often the team with the star(s) win (at least in the conference championship). Lakers vs Kings, Cavs vs Pistons, and on and on. Of course, there are a couple of exceptions (Mavs beating Lakers), but not many. Speaking of star power, Warriors have 4 and the Rockets 1!

Good point, DK. I think the crowd got tight too. They were so used to the Cs beating on the Cavs at home that they were not ready for a nailbiter.

Its always boring when a guy like you is broke and cant afford a $5 wager on a game...you must be really sad, thus life in general seems boring for you.
