Nets are not better than the warriors by a good margin and for certain if the game is in GS! And the line is not an issue. 2 with the hook is the best you could ask for.
Vegas isn't roping Knicks bettors in with the Knicks laying 2 so you should be comforted by such a line.
Nets are actually on another level from the Warriors.... They are better than them.... arguably WAY better than them.

Scal- Any leans on the first half / first qtr plays on knicks? My book has not posted lines yet. I was thinking like you mentioned with the nets using so much energy and effort last night specifically in the second half they come out flat? Or is this the spot where the knicks could wear down an older nets team in the second half?
Scal- great to get information like this, I read through these forums all the time and your information you provide on here is much appreciated! Good luck tonight and thanks for coming back!

You should have posted your own write-up in the game with that one.
I respect your view but you are paying too much attention to match-ups and position based O and D. The nets win that one every time.
Like BeginnnerBoy said, this game has much less to do with the nets and everything to do with the Knicks.
And there will absolutely a home court for the Knicks tonight. They have waited for this spot all season and now they are on the cusp of catching the Hawks.
It couldn't get any better the fans, the team and who stands in the way?
The nets. Could have have asked for the dominos to be set up any better?
This is like the 1-2-3 Kid facing Razor Ramon on Raw.
Tonight the 1-2-3 kid gets the three count.
Say hello to the real bad guy tonight!
There isn't that much crazy hate going on here..... Aside from Boston days KG calling out Melo and KG isn't playing today.
The Nets are a machine right now. A seasoned veteran ball club. They've seen it all already.... they understand the "spots" and the "hype" much like the Spurs they just aren't fazed by that shiit anymore. They know its a win now and next year window THATS all they got. So we can call that "motivation" factor about equal now.
And......
I don't really do any write up and I don't usually offer any picks. I play what I play and I'll offer my views like I did here....
That one kid in your other thread was just clueless and he was really getting on my nerves... of course hes no where to be found after I called him out to post his PLAYS AFTER THE DAY is over (final ticket).... and we can compare like men..... we'll see what "luck" has to do with anything......
Haven't put my bet in yet will do some numbers when I get home.... all other things are about equal here to me in terms of the spot/situation etc..... most importantly will be watching how this line moves....

I dont know if we were watching the same game.....
I didn't see that much effort being exerted by the nets.... that was a pretty easy win....
They played hard fought battles agaisnt Dallas OT, New Orleans went to OT the very NEXT DAY. They had that game locked and just them back in but again that new orleans game should have been a solid win for Pelicans where everyone expected the nets to LAY DOWN and do nothing coming an OT win a B2B..... the tides changing and these guys figured it out....
Hungry Charlotte team where the nets again were an a HORRIBLE spot.... and Charlotte barely squeecked a win out against them because again when they were expecting to fold and lay down they show up and punch you in the face..... because THEY're not the same team that they were to start the season..... a lot of teams aren't they all got better (TOR, CHA, WSH, CHI).... on a sidenote which is why Indiana is struggling so much their game hasn 't improved one bit.

Also shady behind Scott Foster reffing this -- he is one of a special cadre of refs this years whereupon home teams have a losing record when he is present -- let's hope he stays out of this shite

Wait for halftime. Stop forcing action. Either Brooklyn or Knicks will be ahead by 10 at the half. Then you make a play in the 2nd half. You will be on full tilt mode if Knicks win this by a point. Goodluck

I don't play halves. That is a matter of preference.
This game transcends a lot of the on the court play. It's simply a game where the Knicks will be focused enough to win and should always be in more than ample striking distance if they ever lose a lead.
So much on the line here for the Knicks in what was once a lost season. Phil, the playoffs, Carmelo never having missed the playoffs, nets as a rival, home court, nets have the playoffs locked up...
Think of how much worse this spot would be if both the nets and Knicks were 1 game back of the hawks.
Now then, it's a back off game with how the nets are playing. But tonight, it's asking far too much of them on a b2b with a third in 4 having just gotten a nice win vs the rockets, going into MSG, with a locked up seed in the playoffs and a nice seed at that vs. the bulls in a great revenge spot, to get a win here vs. an entire season hinging in the balance for the Knicks. The Knicks have EVERYTHING while the nets just have 'something.' I'll take the home rival who has impressed me in the last 2.

The Nets are on a roll and the Knicks are up and down with their play right now. I don't think I could back the Knicks until I saw some consistency from them.

I agree.
I think we watched games in alternate universes.
It was a 3 point game at the half and the nets had a two basket lead at the end of 3.
You're telling me lin replacing Beverly doesn't matter there?
You're telling me Howard (despite asiks great line), doesn't give extra effort considering Brooklyn is the team he asked to be traded for and the nets signed Joe Johnson instead?
Houston definitely wins there with those two.
All the better. A little less urgency tonight. Just a little after a win but it will cost them.

Think like the and you'll back the spurs for all eternity (which is negative EV with a spread)

And if the Knicks are up 5 at the half and the line is +1.5 Knicks you like that better than -2 without a hook? No thanks.

Have never considered a ref in any game in my life
It's worked out just fine (except for kings lakers game 6 in 2000 with Tim Doneghy). That was the only game ever.

So you'd take the nets to win a playoff series if GS had home court and Lee and Bogut back too?
If GS just had home court without them it would go 7 and I sure as hell would not want to be in oracle for any game 7 with any team.
You say that NYK beating GSW was a BIG deal and shows what a great team they finally have become. Then you say Bogut, Lee are important pieces for GSW.
May I remind you NYK played GSW without Aussie and Lee, so I can`t understand how your 2 different arguments fit together. Unless you are seeing only what you want to see ... in which case it makes perfect sense.

Of course rockets are better with Dwight.... Beverly isnt even a starter on most teams in the NBA.... that line will not change much with him.... Offensively he is very limited.... LIN is a better offensive player than Beverly.
You're severely under estimating the crew that is the Brooklyn Nets. They were 3 or 4th favorite to win it all at the start of the season.... so vegas under stands the potential of this team..... and its starting to come together now. Houston does not win here with Beverly and Howard.... might put up a better effort but AGAIN their defensive scheme will not change.... and the Nets offense is too balanced for them....
It was a 3 point game after 3 quarters but there was no urgency in the nets... they had it bagged and you can tell. You already knew they were covering after the 1st quarter was over. The 4th quarter was lopsided as the nets applied a little effort on the defensive end and that was that.
To answer your question really quick.... who the feck is golden state? And what have they done.... Spurs were able to re-adjust to them and ended their hopes pretty quick last year.... adn this year its been a complete washout between them and spurs all together.... Brooklyn once again is built with veteran guys who've seen it all. You think PP34 Joe Johnson and Derron wont come into Oracle and win there? Again you're underating them immensely. I don't think Golden State comes into Brooklyn and Wins.... especially with their defense right now.
Remember theres no "spots" in the playoffs. It's the ability to match up, to adjust, to make in game corrections, and how to bounce back after losses. No back to backs road travel is really a non issue in the playoffs as they are all rested and ready to go with 1-2 day lay offs between games. Golden State would have a "shooters" chance in that series and that's about it IMO... I dont think they can put miracle game winners every game especially on a long athletic seasoned crew like the Nets.

glad to see you're back. a logical mind such as your own recognizes the right time to take a break and the right time to pick your punches. when I saw todays card I thought to myself "ill be damned if Scal sits this one out" and here we are.. you already know where I'm siding. lets get it back big today champ!

Line movement has NOTHING to do with the outcome of this game.
But if you meant it to get a better line, I understand.
I agree a 100% the line won't matter.....
I do believe in late line movements though.... and if it goes how I think it might go before tip off I will go heavier on my play.... will wait and see.
Monies aside.... this game should be pretty wild tonight.
