Not sure why people continue to discount the Hawks, yeah there not a great team but no other team has given the Pacers more problems then the Hawks this year. Pacers have lost by 7 or more at home 6 times this year, 3 of those times were to the Hawks and all other 3 were non-conference opponents.
It's easy to discount the hawks and we can't say "don't discount them because the hawks played well against them" since that strengthens my argument, not yours:
Losing 14 of 15 from feb 4th to mar 8th winning 5 and then with their playoff lives hanging by a thread losing 7 of 8 to give the woeful Knicks hope.
Then they finished out the year making the playoffs by a spider web strand by beating:
Celtics (tanking)
Brooklyn (tanking)
Miami(tanking)
Bobcats (they lost this game)
Bucks (tanking)
Outside of two quality wins against the pacers (which says something) and Cavs (bad team) the Hawks have played quite poorly indeed.
And then they looked like a 4 seed against the pacers.

Bulls were very overrated coming into the playoffs and as said in post #21, the Hawks are a bad matchup for the Pacers. The Wizards caught the Pacers in a terrible spot in game 1 as highlighted above. I love the Wiz Kids, they'll be much better spots to back them in this series rather than tonight.
But who knows, i've been on a terrible slide lately, so maybe we'll see another blowout
Bulls were overrated more than the wiz are a good team?
I think the spot in game 1 was perfectly fine.
You don't just give away game 1's on your home floor like this. It will cost you the series.

LC, I was on Under last game. If you think Indy shuts the Wiz down, wouldn't u also be on the Under, given that a 52 pt 4th Qtr last game would've kept it under? It's actually up 2 pts from last game. If Indy is in fact better defensively, I would expect an avg of 40-45 pts a quarter. Opinion appreciated. Mine? Under, big, whether Indy wins or loses. And I agree that they'll improve from last game, but I don't think it'll be offensively.

If you don't like the Pacers in this spot then there's no way you like them in game 3 or 4 where they play much worse away from home. If you like Wizards ML tonight then your essentially saying Wizards will sweep the Pacers. I don't see it happening.

I could see that yes, my strongest lean is on the side however

Which is why I bet the series since I didn't want to throw darts at these games.
It's a confusing bet since you are laying points! with a pacer team that has no center at the moment (well they have on but he just uses up minutes and fouls people which is worse), have a backcourt that is inferior to the Wiz backcourt right now, same for the front court and the inferior play, and have to go against an assassin shooting threes when everything breaks down.
And you know the Wizards quite well since you made an excellent series bet against the bulls (and took the bulls in this very same spot laying points against the same team and it didn't work out in that game 2!)

Damn LC I just don't know bra. Pacers offense is seriously hurting of late and Hibbert has been useless. IMO I just dont see how anyone can still back the Pacers at this point. They are unreliable and laying 3 possessions to this more potent Wiz offense is going to be tough. Im on Wiz 1H Tt over 45 myself so hopefully we both win. GL!

Ok so I'm sitting here at the game and the crowd just shuts up whenever Pacers make a run and Ariza or Gortat end it. Pacers definitely playing really good D tho, looks like your faith in your favorite has proved right for you tonight! Glad to see you back LC (I know there's a lot of game left, but I was taking about your PLAY).

Enjoyed your threads all year. If I can offer some advice: Dont listen to these morons. Year after year, day after day, covers.com attracts the trolls of the earth. Losing streak? Nooooo way that could happen, especially if you bet every day. These idiots seem to think that losing a few games means something.....which it doesnt. Stretch your betting career out into a line and you will see many peaks and valleys. If betting on sports were easy, the covers.com website would die off.
Its obvious you enjoy what you do and you have had success. Dont let a handful of games throw or these ignorant fools discourage you. Ive been fighting the fight since 2002.....I actually enjoy it now because the good people on here are pretty easy to find and can actually offer insight.
bol moving forward brother
