Kid you don't know down from up or up from down and you are one of the shi*heads who always shows up to dump on people who contribute.
Well guess what? I'll make a fool of ya when you try with the rest of your shi*head brethren who have turned this site into a dumpster fire.

Your first paragraph is all correct but they didn't just win that last Spurs game for D'Antoni (or his unwillingness to tank). The Spurs CRUSHED them that year and didn't care much about that game but the Lakers should have cared less but wanted a bit of revenge to salvage their as*-whippings.
And this is where it goes back to the players. They care when you least expect it (the Lakers last year winning a game with only 5 active players vs. the Cavs...how times have changed).
And yes, having been a Nets fan for most of my life, Byron is a very proud man who wants to lose to appease Kupchak, but not lose say, 60 like the Knicks are currently doing and yes it will cost them. Especially that Pistons game you mentioned several times.
And to your last paragraph, I love the idea but that will not happen. I think Lin was benched because he 'wasn't feeling well' precisely because he is the least to comply with necessary tanking. This is his contract year and he will have trouble making money in the future (and certainly not $15 million like he's making this year!).
You saw all those guys buddy up (Nick Young (who is done), Lin, Hill) all excited about that win a few weeks back that pist off Kobe on the Kimmell show. They are actually trying to win because they didn't get the memo.
And now, as you said, Scott ripping into them here and there has resulted in a few more wins and solidified the 4th spot for them and if they win a few more, the 5th spot (and then they'll lose the pick because history has had at least one team jump into the top 5, although probability dictates otherwise).
