I think too many people use the word rigged or fixed- Are any games completely rigged or fixed by players, coaches, and refs following a script? No No No

Are games swayed by crooked refs who can throw flags or call fouls on teams to help sway a game- yes, yes, yes

My brother is friends with a former professional QB and those that think football games are scripted are complete idiots- most players are playing their azz off knowing they could get injured at any time- it has been proven that basketball refs have tried to throw games- however the players still play and there is no way these games always go the way the referee tries to call it-

if the nfl is phony competition, then obviously the answer is yes to all other major sports..FIFA has its own share of corrupt history as does the ATP and WTA

the nfl is so glaringly obviously a fraud competitionwise that it is painful to watch... Have people watched the last 3 superbowls as an example?

WIthout trying to sound too disrespectful, the majority of the population a blind sleepwalking braindead gullible zombies, which is why the corporations get away with as much as they can. I'm not even going to go into the dangers of WIFI or cell phone radiation, but thats just an example. People prefer technology and convenience over safety and anything else.

But uuhh, back to the topic at hand, this shouldn't even be debated. Even stephen smith on espn this morning sounded absolutely bewildered, as should any other nba fan, as to why the cavs played with ZERO EFFORT and ZERO DEFENSE last night in a pivotal game 2.

People should notice by themselves that the more sports they watch, the more braindead they become. I watch but i have vastly decreased my attention over the years

one other point is that pro athletes make millions no matter what..their priority is supporting themselves and their family and above all enjoying their life..winning doesn't matter to them as much as most people think

when pro athletes could give a flying darn about a playoff game, then why not take advantage of that maybe by using that to benefit vegas in some manner?

something to munch on..
also,  those that don't think pro sports are scripted / phony, they'll never see it regardless because it would completely alter their ideology..it would have a negative domino effect.

I personally would love to have this debate in person face to face

Zero effort from the Cavs last night? They lead throughout the first half and simply ran out of gas. Eventually Lebron was going to slow down and when he did no one else stepped up. They've also never been a good defensive team. I'm not sure why people are so bewildered by the Celtics winning both at home.

"They've only won 10 straight at home but that 1 win last night was definitely rigged because Stephen A Smith said they didn't play with enough effort!!"

For the poll I voted no because I don't think it's an all or nothing question. Refs can influence a game, it can and does happen. People who think every game and even full seasons follow a script are ridiculous though. People who think the players are in on it are even more ridiculous

I hear this garbage all the time: " the team ran out of gas"

I guess being a multi million dollar spoiled pro athlete hanging out in hotel rooms being catered to around the clock and driving in limo's must be hella exhausting garbage !

Not to mention that nba playoff games are playing basically at a rate of one game / month.

2 person can influence a game if they want...

Example you harden me paul... see those b.s fouling at the end?

All i needed to do is, tell my team, hey we dont show we give up, harden and me as paul knows whats up, other teammates if no?

They will still do what i say, because what i am saying is, lets show this champion and fans we dont give up, or we deliberately irritate them lets foul and foul even if the lead is big already with seconds left lol...

So over hits right? Harden and me as paul knows whats up so it will hit easily if we want to..

Some games if we dont care, we dont foul, we need to be sports and just let them dribble the ball. And be ready for the next game...

So it is our call, so that is only an example how easy if 2 starting guys wants to infkuence the game....

If i want the under? All i need to help the under is slow a little bit the tempo, miss some shots, give a not so decent pass, so that my teammate will miss the shot or pass it back, time wasted.. play defense and slow the tempo from time to time...

Easy...

Havent you see some nba players owing money their teammates like a small amount and still pay them late?

Remember, these players has cousins, wif cousins, wife sister, fam, peeps, friends...

Will they just give money to them like $20,000 ? I guess no..

So if 1 of these cousins, friends lowkey joke them hey man, i will be on the under tomorrow, i heard you say you all play defense tomorrow, and play slow against this team, so hey fam, i will went on the under...

This usually will happen, under will hit.

Then the next day if they meet, yo, thanks man, this $2,000 is for ya...

Beasley or other role player will accept it dont they?

Those who voted no, they dont consider fix games in there capping, can they win all the time? No, just like those who voted yes...

Thats why we cap... and make a plan, strategy on how to bet..

No sports/games are rigged...Players make too much money and most sports franchises are worth north of a Billion.  The 4 major sports leagues all have TV deals/sponsorships and they would not risk losing it all.   Players get favorable calls form refs but they still have to make the big shot when it counts...Kings/Fakers back in 2002?...go watch it on youtube and you will see some bogus calls against the kings...but in the end Big shot Bob still had to make the clutch shot.  

This is 2018...with all the cameras/technology/social media & sports talk shows...any fixed game will be brought to light.   Bottom line its not worth it.

the problem is simple all the mass of people want to do is get high and drunk fall sleep and do it all over the next day.the main reason why they dont pay attention then the rest of the people are so caught emotionally in a team that they refuse and are in denial no matter how there team constantly gets pooped on.its not that hard to recognize games are just weak now centers and power fowards float around the three point line all game.just cause you say games are altered doesnt mean your going to get them right and the ones who dont believe expect you to.i could go on all day sonning people who refuse to listen.so forget it if you beleive what you see on tv, i feel very sorry for you because all sports is another tv show with filled with emotion and drama.

Also what is the motive to fix a game? who is involved? Fixing games = money.  So where is the money...Any big money put on a game will raise red flags.  There are limits on a game.  Lines will move.  No NBA players will fix a game for $10-$20K.

why do u think the nba wants a small percentage when sports gambling fully legalize? it will only get worse where capping wont matter and just hope to be on the right side. gs/hown o/u was a great example. idiots thinks script means everyone needs to be on it lol. when all it takes is one ref or coach telling his players to foul. people dont realize how shady it is till they watch the game and know what the line is.

the same reason why when you go to work your spervisors tell you do something that makes no sense at all, but you do it cause its your job.same thing with sports players they have a job to do and may not be to win each but to show up and play.
