Carmelo is what he is............a scorer.

Why is Carmelo taking the blame for the Knicks failure.

He cant possibly do more. He has absolutely NO help on the offensive end.

Felton is an unmitigated disaster. JR Smith? Please. Tyson Chandler? No offensive game at all. Shumpert? Come on.

Knicks 2nd best offensive player is Hardaway Jr. Cetrainly cant win ball games with Hardaway Jr as your "wing" man.

You do realize that this will be the 1st year in Carmelo's career that he has NOT made the playoffs.

Please do not tell me that he played on any powerhouses in Denver either.

Put Carmelo on the Bulls.......Bulls are Eastern Conference finalists. Things break right........maybe more than that.

You watch, no smart team will take him, he will end up in the same place again, with the same disastrous result.

Playing D, moving the ball, helping out, leading in the locker room and on the court, making the important baskets, owning your results. I did this, I am responsible, not the management, not the coach but me.

all that said, Melo is the pick of the day,
all systems are go on this play, I expect them to win outright but at least cover.
If they are down at half, I will double up. Even Melo cares a little is the theme.

Chandler is a nice piece on a winning team. He is a defensive specialist. I was strictly talking offense. Shumpert is also a nice defensive player. If you look at the players surrounded my Melo.....there isnt even a 3rd scoring option. Let alone a 2nd option. JR is a role player. Should be coming off the bench. He should not be considered a 2nd option on any team. Felton is your starting PG? You have to actively try to construct a team that is this inept.

SO..... what did durant do last year by himself? He beat a scrub Rockets team that was still up their azz every single game.... ok big feckin deal. Knicks abused Boston. And even then dikhead JR had to make an appearance by feckin everything up and elbowing Jason Terry as that series wa slopsided and Knicks should have swept boston no problem.....

Round 2. Indy and Memphis about equally as good Indy was probbaly better last year than Memphis. Mempihs literally swept OKC after game 1 which they almost won as well. OKC couldn't do shiit. Knicks lost to indy in 6 with every game close and ball bag Mike Woodson could have done a better job at coaching through that series. Melo dominated the pacers by himself with a bad and a bad shoulder...... dude carried that team full of feckin scrubs that you see playing today by himself and still got blamed for losing LOL.

Durant was a feckin NO SHOW last year and got no blame..... love the double standards. Melo is a more dynamic scorer than durant. And he's underated defensively cuz he's played with scrubs his whole career. Durant has no post game PERIOD. He settles for jumpers and we've seen how that works when you play really good defensive teams..... Miami and Memphis. you put MELO on OKC and OKC will not miss a beat probably be ever better as his low post presence and paint scoring is what OKC lacks really bad. He's is also an excellent passer.... you wouldn't know that cuz he has not one to pass the ball too except for the one other bright spot on the team..... Hardaway Junior.

With little to no help.

Melo is just plain stupid, that is all there to it. He is getting so used by the Bulls again, it is ridiculous. He has no idea after 10 years in the league what help defense means. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. Ask Michael. Ask Kobe. Both all NBA defense many times in their careers. 
He will never play for a team that wants to win and knows what it means. The Bulls would rather not have him  I am sure. He does not fit into their system.

Brian Shaw has lost the Nuggets, no doubt about it. That said, I like what he is doing, for right now. He is telling them if they want to win, they have to play this way. Most of them will not as they are all spoiled NBA babies. Practice, you mean , practice?

If it works, he will be a Thiobodeau or Popovich, if not he will be gone and never come back. I would give him the year and another but I doubt management will.

I agree with you 100% regarding Shaw. He is TRYING to do it the right way. He is not a Popovich. Thats why POP puts a premium on Eupopean players. They listen. They buy in. He is not a Thibodeau. Thibodeau has a guy like Joakin Noah who is all heart and hustle. A guy that demands accountability. He has role players that BUY in. Rose is the only star. And he hasnt played in 2+ years. Tibs is the best defensive coach in the NBA. Shaw doesnt stand a chance.........and thats a shame. Because when the inmates run the asylum you have the NY Knicks. Shaw deserves better. What he will receive is a pink slip.

Ummm I'm pretty sure anyone who has some form of Basketball sense will take Perkins over Chandler. Especially considering the discrepancy in their salary. 

Mark Cuban wasn't dumb when he didn't want to pay him that kinda money. Cuz he's not worth it. Perkins would abuse Chandler. If Perkins sucks OKC would have moved him. OKC's front office doesn't play around, they want to win. 

Like I said he got lucky in the right situation where Lebron, D wade, and Bosh didn't fully mesh yet and didn't understand how to break down the zone. It looked like Chandler was this insane rim defender and he does so much blah blah blah. That same Heat team would dismantle them in 4 games. He got them at the perfect time. Now the knicks are stuck with this guy eating away at precious cap space. this dude can't shoot for shiit, mediocre at rebounding, and he'll be lucky to make a lay up. His FG% is bloated cuz of open court lobs. He gets abused by a 40 year old Garnett. Hibbert clowns him and Noah is on a completely different planet than him.

Iverson was a mess in Denver. Especially in the locker room. Iverson was one of those guys that couldn't play with anyone. Melo shines in big moments. 

If he had no basketball sense or didn't know how to play them game he wouldn't be one of the best players on the Olympic team. This guy stood out on the Olympic team. And his passing ability are extremely under rated.
