This Wolves-Lakers games proves how NBA games are rigged and how ALL games are about 2 things:
1. Its about making NBA games entertaining to watch
2. Its about making the right side of the spreads hit for Vegas (and here keeping either or both lines rather close for entertainment).
Of course its about profits too, but thats what u recieve in the end by fullfilling those 2 points above...
Idk what side they want to win, idk what o/u side is the right side or anything in this game thats why i dont bet on it, but as a neutral in this game i just find whats happening here so odd.
You see, i watched the Knicks - Lakers games a little over a week ago. Game is comming down the wire, and i think Lakers showed they had a little edge here in the game, game is tied @ 74-74 and its like 95-97 or tied @ 95-95 in the game too in the end. Then all of a sudden, Lakers decide to throw the game coz they dont want to win the game, and not only are they losing a very close 50/50 game here, they are also giving up the 5.5 - 6.5 spread because they lost 110-103 in the end, in what was a totally even game untill this happened. So what we can see here is, viewers got entertained which is good for the NBA, Lakers lost as they wanted to, Knicks won at home as they wanted to, Vegas got their spread where they probably wanted Knicks to cover + Knicks moneyline as people are scared to lay points against a scrubbie team like the Knicks (atleast scared of pounding it)
And, oh well oh well oh well. What do we have here in the Lakers game. Minnesota are absolutely crushing the Lakers in the first half, but do they want is to be so square so that viewers can just turn off their tv and Minnesota win by 50 which they are playing like they should be leading? No. of course not.
Dont you find it odd, that when Lakers are down 16 @ halftime against Minnesota which is clearly a better team, they decide to show up for the second half? They do not even want to win. But they only do it FOR ENTERTAINMENT, and for Vegas and for NBA. Look at them, they complain about refs, they are almost crying about them on small plays, why would they all of a sudden care about a game that is already sailed when they gave away the win for free in new york? Because they HAVE to. Look how close this game is on the spread of 10.5 points and the o/u 217, everyone are entertained, betters, NBA, Minnesota homecrowd, Lakers fans "Ohh its so good that we show up and see that we come out strong in the second half and that we finally play D even tho we dont have the tools available to compete with Minnesota and bla bla bla"
Its time for some people to open their eyes to what is going on.
NBA is all about entertainment and money. Nothing else. This game proves it. Such a weird shift in mentality depending on what situation it is.
