Some bettors from dksport made an ingame $1.4 mil bet to win $11,200 after chargers were 27-0.  Which lost.

Moneyline fav bet works until they don't.

No bet is ever  guaranteed to win.

I saw that on Saturday night! Hands down the worst sports bet I have ever heard about. And skillahmang asks a good question - who the heck has over a million bucks sitting in a sports betting account?

Could be from fantasy winnings.

  Then making super easy huge fav moneyline wagers.  As usually those are guaranteed winners.  Some cover members here even brag about making those.

If this really happened, which I just don't know if I believe or not, it shows how bad of a problem gambling really is for some people.  Only a shmuck in the heat of a gambling addiction would think betting 1.4 milly to get back 11 racks is a good idea.  That is not a rational person.

Fucking retard thinking making 0.008% on his 1.4M was a good bet to make.  There are literal crypto stablecoins/lending platforms he could have staked for a risk-free and tax-free 5% on his money guaranteed.

Hard for me to think that someone with that kind of cash is interestes in risking that to get 11k back.. makes no sense.. if it was 100k I could see it but risking dolllars for pennies.. makes no sense..

For the people doubting that you can make or have that balance at your sportsbook... Im not american soo dont have DK, but i use Stake (btc) and you can bet pretty much all you want and its not uncommon to have more than 1m there.

To make $11,000 on a 1.4m bet results in 246% per year, if you made those winnings annualized. So 365 winning bets and 0 losing bets. 

However, I think it would be smarter to have a stop loss strategy in place. Because you are probably gonna lose 3 bets if you let them all ride. Which means you would actually lose about $185,000 if you let all the bets ride. Which is a 13% loss. Not too bad for 365 bets and all that action. 

But with a stop loss, if you cut your losses to 50% on those 3 losing bets, then you would make $2.6m per year. 

But the question is, how many of those bets get close enough to losing that you have to hedge out? If it is many more than 3, those stop losses would turn you negative. 

He needs to make up for it and than some by putting 1.4 Million on the BUCS ML tonight!
