I lean Cardinals' way.  This is 49ers' look ahead game with the hated Seahawks coming up in the following Monday night game.  Richard Sherman's hatred toward Seahawks after he was let go is well known.  Before their game against Panthers, one of the younger teammates told Sherman that Panthers were coming to play him straight to expose him or something like that.  Sherman was fired up after he heard the teammates' story.  The teammate may have made up the story to fire up Sherman.  Players including Sherman cannot be motivated to play hard in every game.  In Arizona's game in the Big Easy, they had several missing key players.  They even lost their top running back during the game.  I think most of the players who missed their last game is coming back to play in this game.  Arizona also signed Kenyon Drake from Miami to fill the void left by the injured running back.  Public perception of these two teams at the moment is valuing 49ers too high and discounting the strength of Cardinals too much.  So despite the stellar record of visiting Thursday night teams this year, I like Cardinals to cover 9.5 in this game.

Drake adds talent to compensate David Johnson missing the game. However, in 3 games you do not master a playbook and more importantly, there is a synch issue which is gained only through playing several snaps. No leans, 49ers is the absolute play here. 

I got 49ers -6.5 last week, feeling really good about that.

Domed stadium, climate controlled, grass playing surface, so won't have any weather issues to slow down 49ers running game like what happened in Washington.

Cardinals have a weak fan base, relatively low home field advantage, short hop from SF might be a lot of band wagon 49ers fans even on a Thursday.

Cardinals have beaten 49ers 8 regular season games in a row, so 49ers should not be lacking for motivation in a nationally televised game.

Short week should be an advantage to the better coaching staff, team with more continuity from head coach to QB.

49ers talent laden defensive line should be able to contain Kyler Murray with a 4 man pass rush.

49ers strong running game, Cardinals weak run defense (4.7 yards per carry tied for 22nd, 130 yards per game 25th).

Cardinals couldn't run at all vs Saints. Main RB Edmunds had 7 carries for 8 yards. Only 11 rushing attempts all game even though game was only 10-6 at halftime. Murray only 2 rushes for 13 yards. Cardinals added a decent RB in Kenyon Drake but don't see much impact with a couple practices and running into brick walls behind a poor offensive line.

Cardinals defense gave up 148 rushing yards to Saints RBs on 26 carries (5.7 YPC). Alvin Kamara didn't play a snap.

49ers gouge Panthers defense for 235 rushing yards on 35 carries (6.7 YPC).

Massey Ratings has this at -17.5, and Jeff Sagarin has it at -13.

I think 27-10 sounds about right.

When the Dolphins have no use for Drake, it says something about his ability (3.7 y/a).

im sure you all already know who I'll be on. I'll post with enough time for a lot of people to follow. But close enough to game time to where we still win the play haha gotta find that fine line. 

Cardinals or nothing is the play here.

The West has played some really crappy counter teams this year, the Cards have not done well against winning teams and I am not convinced of the schedule for either team. What I do know is come playoff time I wont back the 49ers based on regular season numbers.

The defense is actually decent especially with PP back, they kept the team in the game vs the Saints until middle 4th Q when knucklehead HC went for it on the 30 yl and then it all came down. I think if anything the defense is the star of the season for the Cards, this garbage new whatever that KK is trying is just bubble screen yucck, I think KK is a lousy HC and Murray is going to be in trouble for his career if he plays as he has thus far, he will get figured out and shut down quickly in the league. 

Road chalk for an unproven team with a soft schedule is not the way I like to bet, I'd probably stay on the home team or nothing.

Niners are not healthy at all...coming off a big win on a short week with an enormous MNF game against Seattle, which they’ll have 10 days to get healthy and prepare for. Best case scenario is SF getting an early lead and winning something like 19-14. Worst case scenario is an absolutely clunker in an obvious look ahead spot.

Just look at the ppg differential, it is ridic.

SF gives up 11 ppg

ARI gives up 28 ppg for a 17 point differential on defense alone

SF scores 30 ppg

ARI scores 21 ppg there's another 9, 26 point differential on average overall and the spread is only 10.
