I put down 1 unit on each of those plays as it is. If Seattle creeps down to -3 or even -2.5(possible, but not probable as I had it penciled in as a -4 game), I will add another unit when necessary. Same with New England. I hit them +6 for a unit, but it things creeps up to the 6.5 with the juice on my side, or a straight up +7, I will add another unit as well(I penciled it in at Denver -6 so I'm not sure it will move up, but you never know).
Ahh, last week. Picked up a unit on Auburn +9 so it started well. Got a vicious horrible backdoor push with Seattle -8, nailed NE -7, nailed that over 51. I had my Carolina props going, but I didnt think they had a shot so "hedged" SF at a pickem for 1.5 units, and then that awful awful backdoor with Denver -9. Profitable and nice week, but I'm a bit disappointed. I thought I was on the right side of all 6 wagers I made.
But that Denver game.....
- SD had 71 yards after the 3rd quarter and still covered. - Welker dropped a TD pass. - Thomas sabotaged a nice Denver drive fumbling as they were on the march. - INT in the end zone before halftime on a dropped ball that bounced into a defenders hands. - Punt return where a guy broke it open for a TD.....oh no he tripped over his own feet after he burst past the last defender. - 105 yard kickoff return for a TD taken back on holding. - Prater misses a 46 yarder with the wind at his back.
Christ almighty!! Ok, enough crying from me. It is now in the past, lol. So Seattle -3 and NE +6 for a unit and as the week progresses, I'll pop in to update when and if I add to those wagers and also breakdown my thoughts and insight for why I'm taking them. I hope everyone had a profitable weekend. Congrats to the guys who hit with SD, and I hope Saints backers put their wagers in before kickoff when it was +9.5 or +10.

Just hit Seattle -3.5 and New England +6.

Never seen a side that was so wrong actually win. Never have I ever been on anything close to this as the team that pulled out the moose. We need to add some more to this list you have there

(He only missed 1 FG the entire year) -Quintin Jammer completely burned on a post pattern on 4th and 7 to setup the touchdown -Broncos never punted once the entire game....clear correlation to a DD blowout win
If anyone has a list longer than this where they were 'ed I would love to see it because it doesnt get much worse than this.
Feel free to add to the list if you see something were missing

Leaning Pats also....But I can't bet against SF right now. No effing way.. This teams mental toughness and conditioning to be able to play a game in GB vs Rodgers with a running game (Lacy) in frigid conditions then fly back west coast and make a 6.5 hour flight to the southeast and play what is basically a 10:00AM game for the Niners and to completely dominate that second half tells me that this team will die on the field before they lose.. Seattles offense is not scary.. Let's see what happens. Should be an insane championship Sunday.

How anyone could possibly bet on the 49ers is beyond me. Seattle's offense was almost non-existent, the conditions were terrible and they still dominated.
Why will this game be any different than the last 2 played in Seattle for SF...and our reasoning better be something other than the 'its the playoffs.'
goodluck glyde. IMO the play is obviously Seattle, and if not then its the under, and if not that than NO PLAY.

Glad I see some 49ers love.

I'd be very wary of a team who has one of the best defenses I've ever seen, one of the biggest homefield advantages I've ever seen, and an offense playing poorly and still scoring 50 points the last 2 weeks.

Nem and Sjabo, I think you guys might be right. Like I said I had it penciled in as 4 or maybe 4.5 so it really opened my eyes when it opened at a heavily juiced -3. Part of me thinks the line should and will creep up to the line I "guessed," but there seems to be a lot of SF love that has been building the last few weeks, and I really do think a lot of sharp SF money can roll in to where the books are forced to adjust it down. If not, I can live with my -3.5 bet. To be honest, I would have hit them at anything less than a touchdown. When you start talking -7, then I have to start considering SF plus the points for value only even though I do believe Seattle is going to beat them up pretty good.
Tank....Man, I hate to see you hurting like that. I'm sorry brotha, I know back pain and it sucks, but a bad experience post surgery....I can't even imagine what u are going through. I'm flying on some "ox" right now, but no pain for me, I needed something to dull the mental pain of that Denver backdoor!! ;) Keep doing your therapy, man, and be patient. You are a good dude and good karma and good health will eventually flow back your way. Hang in there, buddy.
How did you make out this weekend? Were you on the right side of all those "fixed" games? :P LOL, we might be polar opposites on how we come to the conclusion on our wagers, but we do seem to get it done at the end of the day regardless of our insight.
Haha Vegas Vandal, I'm glad to you see it my way!! What annoys me is one of my buddies had SD and we were going back and forth all week on why we liked our wagers. This prikk actually texted me with an I TOLD U SD COVERS an hour ago!! Sent me into a rage, lol. Then he was saying, there is no "right" side if it doesn't cash. Lol, I wanted to kill him!!!
But an old wise man once told me something that I remember to this day. Long story short, he was a local years back and I used to be a middle man for him back in the day. I met up with him after a really bad week where I took a beating. I was b1tching and moaning that I got backdoored THREE games on Sunday out of 5 that I bet on. In college my squad was up 3 touchdowns, but my starting QB got hurt and wound up losing because the backup was horrendous. Another college game I has something like under 62 and it was 10-7 at half, wound up being 24-24, went into OT, and wound up being like 48-47 after 346 overtimes. One NBA game I was getting 9. It went into overtime and they were outscored 10-0 in OT. JUST A NIGHTMARE WEEK.
Anyway he said, "Kid, you're young and cocky, but you are one of the better cappers I know. One thing I've learned over the years is if you suck and can't pick your a$$, you will get lucky more often than not. You cap bad, so your teams are in bad spots, and that opens up lots of crazy back door type of wins and 'miracle' comebacks. But when you know what you are doing, and you cap games well, more often than not, your teams play well and position themselves with the lead late in games. THAT is when your squads go into prevent and give up late touchdowns, or teams get up early and take their foot off the petal and the back doors go against you more often than not. Don't get emotional, don't CHASE, and roll with the punches."
ROFL, I don't know if he's right, but I'll make believe he is to feel better about myself! :P

Great writeup Glyde. Will have to start going into your threads more and I think Hawks are on a mission. Great pull on Pats when it was at that number as it is nosediving, but probably won't even play it now. BOL

Serp, SF has been out of this world of late and honestly been out of this world for the last 2-3 years. Beating up Seattle in Seattle might be that final obstacle to overcome in bringing them their first Super Bowl ring since Steve Young(jeez I remember being in 10th grade and watching that with a bunch of friends at their house. Lol, we were drinking 40's and smoking weed out of a bowl my pal made in woodshop class. I remember like 6 of us chipped in 25 bucks each and did a 30 time SF and over parlay and we went bonkers watching that game). Lol, enough of memory lane stories!! So if SF gets that monkey off their back, I can't imagine them losing to NE or Denver in the big dance. I'm backing Seattle and I think the result is going to be more in line with how the last couple trips to Seattle ended, but I would be a nut if I said SF doesn't have a chance. They are a mighty good football team!
GL man and i appreciate your thoughts and insight. Please feel free to bring it in this thread at all times. *covers handshake*

Crafty, you are right. Seattle doesn't have much in the way of weapons for Russell to work with, but they have been getting by. I'm banking they "get by" just one more week for me! BOL if you make a wager on the 49ers. Sounds like u hate SF. You a fan of a different NFC west squad?? Raiders fan?
ROVIN, lmao at Bono!!

Great story bro. I remember that game also vs Stan Humphries I believe. I just hope none of the games on championship Sunday are determined by atrocious calls or lack of calls and decided by the players who spill their guts on the field. Good luck

EarthWake, glad to see a good capper with me on Seattle! I'm sure we will BS more about the X's and O's as we get closer to game time.
Ahh, Big Niner. I know you are a hardcore SF fan, but I also know from over the years posting here, you are very objective when it comes to your team and always have excellent thoughts when it comes to your team. I'm very eager to hear what you think about this game. * Covers handshake*
Oktober, yea man I just saw NE is down to +4.5 with one local and +5 with the other. Not looking like my second unit will be up near +7. Plan B will be a unit on the ML(maybe can score a +175 when its all said and done) or maybe do a unit ML parlay with Seattle. Makes sense as if SF really brings it, we can expect to see 20-19 kind of game and if NE can cash for me, the ML side of things can pick me up where Seattle -3.5 goes down the toilet.
Hey Habs....you bastard!! I was in a zone talking and thinking football, and u just brought me back to reality thinking of that hell hole! LMAO! I scheduled every Monday off for January and February so at least I can enjoy my Sunday nights for at least a few more weeks. Then I have a 2 week vacation scheduled for late June into July(have a wedding to go to in Colorado, so was thinking of a weekend there and then flying to Myrtle Beach to relax for the rest of my vacation). Then every Monday off the rest of July and August. Then HELL the rest of the year!!! FML. Love the Seahawks as well. BOL for that game and whoever u wind up taking in the AFC game.

Great response and thanks Glyde!!!!.....Actually, I'm not a total or even close to being so as to regards in controlling games etc....Know I come off like that, but I've mellowed a lot, place the wager, sit back and enjoy----With 30mg of ox.....ISN'T THAT A F........NG shame?????.....F........NG DR'S!!!!....Nicked my spinal canal 3 times and fluid leaked out,,,,A BIG MISTAKE in spinal surgery!!!!......Too long for rest of story, but will update you at some point....LAWYERS working on it, but 2 other Dr's want to give it another shot and said it was BOTCHED!
I did good in the bowls going opposite of my office workers pool....35 guys!.....Total losers in capping!..... I HIT 26...LOST 9...They are bad and I've never told them all these years what I'm doing....When 90 percent of them agreed on a game, or games, and there were 8 of these games, I doubled up.....Their biggest losers were BAMA, LSU(close one!!) A AND M, BAYLOR, NOTRE DAME, STANFORD, MINNESOTA AND YEPPER!!!!---FLORIDA ST...99 PERCENT. ON THAT ONE..I do cap a bit, but also look to where the money is, how john q public feels and line movements....
Keep up the good reads bro....I think the "sickest" ones from here are gone!....They were wayyyyyyyyyyy overboard....Wish I was around, got so much of this heavy duty stuff....Nice trips though, but I know how I feel when it wears off...Later!!!!!!!!!!...By the way, hit 60 percent in pro playoffs, not great, but it beats losing....SF is bludgeoning teams with that physical style.. Tough to go against..Ripping new fool....Like the Hawks too as I can't see them losing at home, but WOW!!!!-----What a game it will be!.....

Wildcat, that teaser looks tasty. I'm not a big teaser guy, but when I do make a teaser play, I try to keep it to home games as I feel there's a much better chance that if a blowout does happen to spoil things, the road team has a much better chance of getting routed. I don't have any mathematical evidence to support that statement, but maybe someone here is a stat junkie that can come up with say the records of home teams in blowouts of say 14 or more.....that said, San Fran +10 looks great with two physical defensive teams, and the Pats +11.5 crosses every key number.
I'm really interested in one major matchup in the Pats-Broncos game. On one side you have a Patriots team that really is bringing a dedicated and successful running attack of late. On the other side, Denver's rushing defense has looked spectacular since SD gashed them up a month ago. Now I know Denver is I believe a top 5 rush defense in yards allowed, but I think that stat is a bit misleading. Denver scored a lot of points this year and especially early in the year, they were jumping all over teams forcing them to abandon the run early in the game. So I'm not sure if any one stat in that department can properly gauge what they can do stopping the run. I just know from what i have seen with my EYES, that the last few games they have been really good. Sure, you can argue that Houston, Oakland, and SD aren't the best quality of teams, but bad or not overall, all of those teams can run the ball.
So I'm really looking forward to seeing NE line up and power run with Blount and change it up with Ridley(who very quietly played a helluva game lard night; kid is HUNGRY after being benched for his fumbles last month and it really showed. I felt bed when he was in the game and the fans were booing and chanting for Blount; I don't know if they realized he made two really nice plays on 3rd down a couple drives prior and got a pair of really important first downs on heart alone in crucial junctions of the game). So Denver rush D vs NE running attack isn't an interesting matchup I look forward to seeing.

So Denver rush D vs NE running attack isn't an interesting matchup I look forward to seeing.
yes, i was hoping for 3.5 so i could get it up to 10 at a decent price. 5dimes has sea -3 -135. hedging a futures bet on seattle sb 500/2500. also take a straight on san fran +4 -120. i fully expect the public to pound the niners but seattle is so tough at home, i like my position. hoping seattle wins a close one!

It's simple, take patriots and 49ers in a money line parlay and back it with a teaser for insurance, can't believe new england is getting so many and San Fran is flat out better offensive than Seattle, this is easy money yet again this week!!!

i live in denver and i can tell you the broncos are on a mission since getting their hearts broken last year vs balt but i think pats are the pick here. i trust the pats coaching will come up with a plan. also, the weather could be an issue. overall, denver defense is vulnerable and the pats are a rushing machine right now.
