Haha “the ravens are better than KC this year that’s a fact”
love this mindset. They definitely won’t let Mahomes rip their hearts out in front of their home fans then, right?

Ive been following the Chiefs since 1965 and their #1 fan since however we are very banged up compared to the Ravens and 2nd week of travel.I do believe Mahomes is the best QB since Brady but can he do it all,I think not.Im not sold on Lamar either(the media darling for some reason?)but with the Ravens being much healthier, home, better rested, and yes they have a great running game too.I don't believe Lamar can carry this team so the key is can Ravens run the ball?I believe they can especially late game and then tending with Lamar running too.I capped this game as Ravens -5 but may just play the OV/UN as I just can't root for the Ravens. Good Luck all

I stopped reading when you claimed Jason Whitlock is on the ravens jockstrap…when the guy clearly hates America…love Trump…definitely is in the idiotic delusional category of thinking black qbs can not be successful.
No way that coward is on Lamar Jackson now. He has Brett Favre type thinking. (Favre picked stroud to win last week).

Not like Colin is hitting 58%? Or Lamar Jackson is a hall of famer in his prime? Or the Ravens are a top ten DVOA team of all time? Or they pass the eye test? The only thing is can someone beat Patty Mahomes? What’s the point of playing contrarian here? Just for the hell of it? I don’t see the value. Ravens or pass… bol

KC's offense in the two playoff games and final two regular season games, since the Raiders game, has been #2 overall in offensive EPA. Some of this is can be attributed to the defenses they've faced and the rest attributed to how the offense has shifted to "playoff mode" with Andy's play calling and Mahomes' running of the offense.
Question is, how much of this change is the "real KC offense" vs. how much the quality of opponent?
We will find out tomorrow

I’m not sure where to start with this but we have both been around a long time in this forum. So I don’t want to be rude. But You couldn’t be more wrong. The first few paragraphs of your analysis and really meaningless. You talk about the ravens chargers please KC at times has looked horrible so that old stuff is meaningless. All that really matters is that KC last two games were their best of the year. The Ravens started slow last week but were lights on second half. The defense gave up 3 points. BALTIMORE had a great year. They were 13-3. I don’t care if the league was down not sure that has to do with anything. This game comes down to one person Lamar .. we know what Mahomes can do. We know how good the defenses are. But I do think the Ravens is better. Will Lamar handle this game and do his thing. That’s it it comes down to him. We will see

Hat tip to the Lions for a great season. I don't think they are particularly good. SF played horrible last week and should have lost. I like to play teams the next week where they found a way despite not having their best. Shanahan is the worst game manager and will def make many -EV decisions though. While Campbell as a dog might legit go for every 4th down and fake every punt. Quite a game management mismatch you have to hold your breath on but I like SF quite comfy.
SF 35-17.

They don't have to be one of the all-time greatest teams to beat this 11-6 KC bunch that has only reached 30 points once since October. Thuney, Nnadi and Toney are already ruled out and Pacheco is questionable. This isnt the KC offense you have come to expect over the last few years. Its up to Lamar....his game to win or lose.

Great write up! My only question to you is that how can we be certain that the Chiefs are really any good?
I’ve been saying the same thing as you all season. That being that the league in general is at a very low point. The teams that even appear to be competitive were mostly mediocre at best. Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville jaguars were perfect examples. So, although the ravens may have done a good job of beating up on the weak, the Kansas City Chiefs have done the same, just not as well.
As far as the Ravens not having a team of HOFers, you’re right. Even Lamar gets too much credit IMO. The defense has some excellent pieces, but we can’t say whether or not there’s any legends there quite yet. That being said what does this Chiefs team have? A solid defense for sure, but any HOFers? The offense has Mahomes and Kelce which nobody can argue. But what else? Rice? Pacheco? Good players, but let’s see what they can do vs the only really talented defense they’ve seen this year. They’ve struggled against some of the other “top” defenses in the league this season. Baltimore on the other hand has not.
So I have to agree with what you’re saying, but it’s the exact reason I’m on Baltimore. Because in a season of mediocrity and awful defense, the Ravens have shown that they are the cream of the crop. The chiefs have shown nothing but regression from previous years. And in the grand scheme of things, they’re another mediocre team with a great qb/coach. Betting against Mahomes might be a losing proposition, but I’ll gamble. The ravens should give Mahomes offense fits this weekend. The question is how Lamar will perform. If it’s good the Ravens should win convincingly.

IF this KC line moves another half point and gets to +4.5 it will be tied for the largest DOG line in Mahomes' career.... going back to week 2 of the 2018 season on the road vs. the Steelers.

@kcblitzkrieg
Line movement I'm sure is due to injury as the bet % ( 50/50 and handle are pretty much dead same ( larger bets on ravens smaller on KC ) as Friday. The key number was 4 which everyone should know what that means . Think alot of people are betting on mahomes past performance and not that acutal game situation.

Looks easy doesn’t it Andarmac? Mahomes catching 4 points in the AFC championship game?
Definitely respect your thoughts but I couldn’t be more against you in this one.
You think the media is slobbering over the Ravens, imagine all the Joe Schmoes in the line at the sports book.
”Mahomes, getting all these points is crazy man. Too easy. Lamar Jackson can’t even pass.”
This isn’t the Chiefs teams of years past. Sure they have a good defense but who were they up against? Still had trouble scoring in most games with no legitimate threats on offense. This Raven team has beat down much better offenses.
It is still Mahomes and the game is played with an oblong football so anything can happen. Lamar could also fold under the immense pressure but I think the Chiefs have a rough road tomorrow.

Great write up Andy. Enough to make me login and post for the first time in ages. I’ll be on the Chiefs but will wait until live in-game. I think we can all agree they’ll be down a TD at some point (hopefully early) and there will be 7’s live. That’s when I’ll hammer it. Did it last week when they were down 10-3 and I see it happening again this week. There will also be a juicier ML numbers to sprinkle. GL this week and glad to see you posting.

Agree with you about the quality of QB play has been down a few notches this season but can't really say the same about everything else. it's still early to say where the Ravens will rank among the all-time greats. They still haven't beat Mahomes or won a Super Bowl yet.. I think maybe we can judge them more fairly until then. The '91 Redskins only had Art Monk as a hall of famer. Again still too early to say how many hall of famers Ravens may have theyre still young in their career. Lamar, Roquan, maybe Kyle Hamilton if they can play like this consistently for another 5+ years. Justin Tucker should be a future hall of famer.
