I hope you sincerely don't think Wentz has a better skill set than Brady.
He's certainly got Brady covered athletically but that's about where the discussions ends.

in my lifetime, only payer who showed such freakish 'greatness' literally from the beginning was Rodgers. Wentz is looking every bit as good as Luck and co.

The future for wentz is very bright. Has all the abilities to become one of the greatest quarterback. Philly has a really good gem in the process and if he is completely healthy his ceiling is very high. Comparing numbers to nick floes and wentz is not something to see. Foles will always to me will be a great back up QB.

Wrong. Falcons for the W. Healthiest team in the league. Have weapons everywhere. Philly is down Alshon Jeffrey, Carson Wentz, and has a Jay Ajayi coming off an injury. Defense is still going to be solid but no way Philly takes this one.

I like the Eagles here but I think the Falcons will do some scoring maybe 23 points to the Eagles 27.

Wentz is obviously a better qb then Foles, I think LC is trying to explain how good the Oline is which is a HUGE factor on QB play. Wentz can move so he could mask the line if it wasnt as good but that is irrelavent right now. Lets not forget these are all NFL QBs they could make these throws if they have all day and you mix that in with Doug Pedersons play calling in the playoff run that is why the Eagles were super bowl champs . My only question is teams have had a full offseason to be ready for the RPO etc, they better have something else up there sleeve until Wentz is back, lets not forgot Foles only had 2 great games vs Vikngs and Pats, im not going to crown him yet

On the other side here LC as my handicapping reveals that the Superbowl winner from the previous year the following year is a bad investment  for several of it's games to start the year. Taken that the players have achieved star status and think they are capable of anything short of walking on water the adjustment to get back high on that pedestal and taken the fact that everyone wants your @ss (Being the Superbowl Champs) Motivation should run high with these Falcons who just a couple years ago in Super Bowl LI against the patriots...Well we all know what happened there and so does Atlanta. I like Atlanta here myself LC plus the line suddenly screams to take Philadelphia at close to a pick em currently but much respect to you and just my two cents...Good luck thru out the year this football season as your write ups are always a good read.

Eagles by 20 points - all this idiots that value anything in the preseason will get there chain snatch tonight - once again the preseason means nothing !!! Eagles will unleash there championship mentality tonight - give a great offensive mind like pederson 8 months to prepare for the falcons defense?  Money to the bank they will score more then 15 points tonight !!! This is a good debate to have (minus any name-calling).
I like the points being made.
My view: Being the first week of the season both teams should be fired up so Thursday-night homefield does not carry the weight it normally would.
Atlanta had a top-10 defense last year with a strong defensive line that should continue this year. They held the Eagles to 15 points in January and have had the whole off-season to prepare for the run-pass-option with Nick Foles. 
Having said that I don't trust Matt Ryan vs the Eagles defense either. I envision multiple drives getting stalled once they reach the red zone.
My play here is on the Under 45.

Yes, I didn't stutter, Wentz is a better QB than Brady. Not better than Rodgers, but present day and will be a better QB than Brady once his career is finished. Like I said, we're not talking accomplishments, cheating, etc. 

As a QB skillset, Wentz is a better QB than Brady. Brady is a system QB who thrives off slants and Belichek's system. Awful deep ball, can't run, not elusive, and great O Line. Ever see Brady when he gets pressured? Ever see Wentz when he's pressured? It's like night and day.

It's ashame that Wentz got hurt since he would have beaten Brady for MVP and Super Bowl in his SECOND FRIGGIN YEAR.

Go ahead, keep believing what the media feeds you.

i like Wentz. saw him play against my Ravens. he impressed me with his poise. the Eagles offense is better off with Wentz and makes the O-line look good and the O-line makes Wentz look good. its a symbiotic relationship. shouldnteven be a debate tbh if Foles plays the whole season it would be an 8-8 record for Eagles or 9 win season at most. Wentz is 2 wins better.
