Im prob the only one not sold on Houston this year. I think that Division is up for grabs…
Why Chicago? Bears defense is LEGIT and Stroud tends to struggle against good defenses. Getting +6.5 is real generous from my perspective. I’m old…I’m a lot less stronger and faster, but my wisdom on calling BS is getting sharper. Can only imagine the regular Joe’s pounding the hell out of Houston and that all star line up.
Williams for Chicago had 1 horrible game and evry1 is bashing…BUT REMEMBER Williams for still has the best odds to win ROY (by a decent margin! and Coach is also up there to win COY. The +6.5 and prop line doesn’t make sense in my mind.
Really Love DA BEARS on the road.

A few takeaways after watching Bears and Texans games.
Caleb didn't look that bad to me, he didn't make any critical errors like Will Levis and Gardner Minshew did. He hit Keenan Allen with a TD pass hit him right in the hands but he dropped it He took one bad sack early to take the Bears out of FG range, I think it was a 19 yard loss. He tried to spin outside of the DE like he constantly did in college, that doesnt work in the NFL.
He will figure out in the NFL you don't spin outside the DEs, you step up as your OT pushes the DE past the pocket, then you break contain by running away from the fat/slow DTs. He is basically trying to bounce outside, and needs to learn to run OT on his scrambles so to speak.
Bears defense looked solid, Bears special teams looked solid. Aside from the two scores, rookie punter looked good and DeAndre Carter looked good kickoff and punt returns. Texans meanwhile? Well Joe Mixon did look good and they did hang 29 on an average Colts D on the road, however they did give up a lot of big plays to a young mobile QB with a big arm. I don't think Caleb has quite the arm strength of Richardson, but there are similarities.
Bears should be closer to +4 in my opinion. Getting +6.5 doesn't take you across any key numbers, but definitely a lot of fight in the dog. I honestly thought the Texans defense would be a lot better last week, they have a lot of talent and a defensive minded HC, but they definitely looked vulnerable.

I'm not trying to say your wrong,or be Mr. negative here Dirt,I'm from Chicago so I hope your right and the Bears get the win on the ML for you.But I don't think it will be easy for them to pull that off.The Bears defense is good but still the Titans were able to drive right down the field on them twice in the 1st half, and that was with Levis QB'ing.I question if the Bears win last week was more because of them and the way they played,or more just the Titans imploding in the 2nd half with the blocked punt and the interception from the QB just trying to heave the ball to anybody.
You are right Caleb has only had 1 horrible game, but in the same way of thinking,he also hasn't had any good games yet.He was at home last week and did have some pressure on him,and didn't perform well at all (93 total passing yards). To me he actually looked a little scared and confused out there with some jitters,he missed some pretty wide open receivers by a lot on some of his passes. Now he's playing in a nationally televised game with a pretty lot of pressure on him to do well,or he knows he's gonna start hearing the doubters,I hope I'm wrong but I don't know if he's ready for it.Again,I do hope you hit it tho, good luck guy.

From Chicago too and still root for them. You know Pollard isn't a bad RB and was always underrated and underappreciated in DAL.
Like you said no reason why Caleb can't improve. Btw I am an AZ fan, cuz I live here, and everyone here is freaking about Harrison in the same way as well.
Which means I fricken hate the Texans. Look at this box score from last year and Strouds line.
They should have lost that game to us...absolutely ridiculous.
The Texans had 3 miracles last year that I am aware of.
1. NO made a fg to win but a penalty reversed it and then they missed.
2. AZ should have beaten them.
3. The way INDY lost to Hou in the playoffs. Gives me chills.

They were one of the luckiest teams in the league last year and if Stroud can screw up at home vs the AZ def lol the bears can do the same thing.
Don't forget the fact their def is horrible. Low-scoring gm means bears win.

Like I said with Dirt,I hope him and you are right. And Caleb really has to improve,93 yards a game passing with 177 total yards, ain't gonna win you to many games.Hell, we'd need the 85 defense out there to win consistently, with that kinda inept offense going out there every game.

Backing a rookie QB in his first road game after his first win in week 1? And with an offense that somehow scored 24 points on only 148 yards of total offense?
The offense scored 2 points, unless you consider the kicker who scored 9 points.

Williams will be fine, he has all the tools to be a talented QB…he just needs to refine some things with that offense. I’m really relying more on the defense and helping the offense with short field. I think the defense can suffocate Stroud enough to give Chicago a chance.
Yup, I can almost see all the analyst compare this defense to the 85 Bears Monday morning…can’t believe that was 40 years ago! History often repeats itself, and I can definitely see this one cooking - in the words of my son.
Remember folks this isn’t college….this is pro ball…. The NFL & media wants stories + Books wants that public $$$. IMO, this isn’t going to be a Houston stomping…that’s just too plain and the money is way ea$y.
But again im old, blind, & cripple. All this might just a symptom of becoming senile.

LOL! Hey dirtbag it’s Htowns first home primetime game since 2019. Roof will be open tonight boys and temps will be around 100 degrees with humidity. Dameco has been practicing these guys outside in the hot temps to get game mental and physical ready all spring training.

I dunno. Bears won without any offense or scoring amd their defense which was tops vs the run last year got ran over in the 1st half vs a Titans team without Henry
The Texans are farther along than the Bears in their rebuild and Chicago seems unlikely to start 2-0 based on what I saw and I had them last week it was a very lucky win they got scoring twice on defense but maybe they will win and not cover.
