There is zero chance the Bengals should lose this game. You HAVE to run, if necessary twice, and if you get the first down, you keep running. Then you either win with a FG, or tie.

Of course, incomplete (stops the clock) and sack, THEN PUNT WITH 15 ON PLAY CLOCK. Inexcusable.

I am still not sure how this happens in the NFL, and you won't hear anybody ever mention it.  How much is a win or a tie worth in the NFL?  They spend MILLIONS on players and everything under the sun, and still get this stuff wrong week after week after week.

Punt with 15 seconds on a running clock?  It is inexcusable.

The punt was absolutely mind boggling, I didn’t mind the pass play so much on that 2nd and 4 but the punt had me completely scratching my head

By passing in that situation, you are risking giving the ball back to the Steelers (with an incomplete pass).

You are ALREADY in FG range.  By running, you are guaranteeing a tie or a win.

I am all in favor of passing with a different clock situation, but this was unique.

Anyway - punting with 15 seconds is NOT DEBATABLE.  It is incredible that it happened.

you're talking about the same staff that didn't challenge when Chase scored late in 4th. Instead tried to run hurry up from 1 inch line and lost 3 yards

Spot on , my son rewound that play 17 tomes , was in shock they didn't challenge..Chase clearly scored in our opinipn....like you said , instead they hurried up to lose yards

VZ-You are spot on with this.  It should be noted that the long snapper for Cincinnati was injured and out.  That is why they missed the XP. Know the situation,  and at least don't lose the game....

FG attempt in OT was on 3rd down, snap was high and laces dead center for the kicker.  Holder should have eaten it and lived to kick on 4th down

At this level this simple situation should be automatic. These situation "SHOULD" be already worked-out in the minds of coaches and should require no thinking what-so-ever. It's automatic.

If pressure affected any Pro coach in this very simple situation they "ARE NOT" Pro coach material.

The truth is the coaches were not prepared.

Honestly - I knew it when it was happening.

But I am thinking about one thing.  The coaches are thinking about a million things.  I am not worried about personnel, play calls etc like they have to be.

But that is why you need to have a guy who is hired to do nothing except game theory.

I hate sportbooks increasing their exposure with nfl. in all shows you see betting lines now

when betting was not in to mass media, there were fixes happening in nfl and now since betting money will increase I am sure we will see these dumb and match fixing! plays much more

if you are at nfl level, earning 10s of millions per year, you cant make mistakes even elementary school players dont make, period. I hate nfl more than I like it since I started betting and see these type of plays

that being said I am glad I did not bet in any game this weekend, hope I wont bet in todays game too
