Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons

Dallas has the best secondary in the league. If you couldn't figure that out Sunday night against the Giants then take a look at how many first downs and total yards the Giants had despite 6 turnovers. I really feel bad for the Cowboys being fingers away (literally) from sweeping the Giants despite all their mistakes.

The past three weeks, the Falcons faced the 14th ranked secondary, the 20th ranked secondary, and the 32nd ranked secondary in the league. Now they go up against the #3 ranked seconadry (stats wise) but in my opinion, the best secondary in the league. The Falcons haven't faced a defense this good all year. Cowboys will be up for the challenge of facing the undefeated Falcons at home.

Some might think they'll be deflated off their loss and normally teams would be, but not when there backed up against a wall in a do or die game. Three games back of the division lead this is a must-win for the Cowboys, a team who really excels as road underdogs.

This is the exact scenario as the Packers vs the Texans two weeks ago.

This game means absolutely nothing to the Falcons.


Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants

Another game that means very little to the home team. The Giants now have a three game lead in their division while the Steelers are getting hot and making strides to catch up to Baltimore. Perfect spot to fade the Giants off a win they didn't deserve.

If you think the Giants deserved that win against the Cowboys your terribly wrong. They had 11 first downs. 11! Giants got nothing going for them against the Cowboys and got bailed out by endless amounts of turnovers by the Cowboys.

Their not in rhythm and I don't think they'll find their groove against a Steelers team that's starting to make their move.

Like the Steelers pick, not touching Dal/Atl though. Also not sure how Dallas has the best secondary in the league, they're middle of the pack in YPA and opponents QB rating is just okay.

You know, initially I was leaning Atlanta, but I started looking at it a bit more and now am thinking I agree on this one.  Dallas has the number one strength of schedule this season and really has out played the majority of their opponents this season if not for turnovers.  Good luck.

I am on both of these as well for standard plays and so far this season that has worked out well for each of us.  Still deciding whether to play the Dallas game on the money line.  I like the Steelers game more though even with their average history on the road vs NFC teams.

Dallas performs well in prime time games no one expects them to win! Remember 3 seasons ago they went to New Orleans as a 8 pt dog vs an undefeated team and guess what...the lead from wire to wire

LC, I will warn you about the Giants pick, as you know I am a huge fan and I am smart enough to know that can sway my opinion whether I realize it or not.  Now they were my best pick last week, I knew (well I was extremely confident) we would beat the cowboys, and cover.
I see where you say the Giants didn't deserve the win, couldn't disagree more, you see as a Giants fan I know this team psyche pretty well, and when we get a lead, we get cocky/confident an we turn it off and go into auto-pilot.
You don't go up 23-0 by luck.  What happened was we got relaxed even with the play-calling, its one of our frustrating signatures, we just don't blow people out of the building.
Now, did the Cowboys take advantage of that and put a great second half together, hell yes.  Did they outplay us in the second half, pretty much, but you know how it goes good teams find a way to win, even if it's ugly.

All this to say, I am sure you have not watched every single minute of Giant football, I obviously have, and let me tell you, we won a "few" games this year, and rhythm wasn't an issue.
The reason we looked out of sync was we played Bradshaw who was hurting.  The run game couldn't get going.  The Giants are conservative, we like playing veterans, even when they may be hampered a little with an injury, and that hurt us.

As far as motivation, a two game lead at mid-season in the NFC East means nothing especially that we have to play the Redskins and Eagles again, AND we have 2 loses IN the division.

So, although in NO WAY am I predicting a Giant win/cover, I am just saying you may want to question your reasoning.

The deciding difference in the Dallas game should be DeMarco Murray. He will play a vital role against a very weak rushing D. Felix Jones is washed up and cannot expose that weakness as well as forcing Dallas one dimensional and/or wasting downs rushing the ball. You were right when you said Dallas had New Yorks number last week and should have blown them out with a healthy Murray. But when you rush the ball 13 times for 19 yards, that forces a lot of 3rd and longs and lets the Giants D-Line go balls out. If Murray is in this Sunday, Dallas looks mighty sweet but if he is out, I would think twice.

Dallas performs well in primetime games except for the fact that they are 0-7 their last 7 Sunday night games and looked like a high school team against the Bears on MNF earlier this year.  Other than that that they play great in primetime.

Like both, thoughts on Tenn.+4 and Tampa+1?
