Not sure how this story has slipped thru the cracks. Could set up an interesting off season in SF. Personally, I like Purdy.
The return of the prodigal son? The venerable GOAT? Who wouldn't have wanted to see that? The crazy thing is the Bay Area doesn't associate a ton with Tom Brady and I think that's a travesty. Raider fans absolutely hate him because of the snow job but you don't hear Niner fans boasting proudly of Tom Brady either. You don't see a ton of references. Northern Cali's got some beast QBs though. Brady. Rodgers. Goff, Fouts...
Yea I hated hearing that, there's a part of me that feels maybe Jimmy would've worked out if Kyle showed more confidence in him. Niner fans don't show Brady love because Montana is our goat.
Jimmy was damaged goods. He was never the same after his knee injury. He was always tentative to drive off of his plant leg resulting in loose spirals and lofty passes which often missed their mark (inaccurate), missed their window (low velocity), or were picked off. This is why Kyle overpaid for Trey Lance. He just wanted a strong arm QB.
