I just took a rocket ship up the rear sarge! Wow was I wrong on this Brock Purdy guy. The dude Is good. I want to see him after teams in the division and elsewhere get their first looks though .

San Francisco with solid QB, run game and staunch defense, this team could travel deep in the upcoming playoffs. Most NFC team would rather not face 49ers in the conference playoffs.

Whoever is at QB will win it if they were in the SB I suppose but they win every game because of the Defense.. So it would depend if the Defense went 2002 Bucs in the Super Bowl

The Raiders game Stidham was better than Purdy you could see it ,and that was Seattle yesterday horrible defense

Then Stidham laid a big stinky egg the very next week versus KC. Drove the field and failed to convert from the 2 yard line, another time he fumbled the ball away, another time a critical interception. A lot of people were on the Stidham train after his first start against the 49ers but he disappointed against the Chiefs. 

 

Stidham's only TD versus KC was a garbage score late in the 4th quarter. Also, because any teams wins it is not ever because of how the QB plays as it is a collaborative effort on O, D, and Special Teams. Montana, Brady, and Otto Graham didn't win solely because of themselves either.

Brock Purdy has played consistently well in all of his games and that is what you want from a QB, consistency. Joe Montana is quoted as saying that the 49ers can win the Superbowl with Purdy at QB, and that is good enough for me.

This thread has so many negative Purdy remarks since 2022.  Wow.  Does anyone actually watch him play?  He is actually good under pressure and makes some pretty damn accurate throws.  No one would ever question him if he came from a Big 10/SEC school and/or was drafted higher.  That Mr. Irrelevant label is BS.  Life is what you make of it.  Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round and he used it as fuel.  Purdy is doing the same thing and I am glad to see him make history.  I hope he gets MVP.  I am also for CMC, Lamar, Tyreek, etc...  All tremendous performances.

It may be easier for the voters if you listed the players that you don't think should be in the running for MVP
