My favourite time of the year to start betting the nfl heavy is the last 5-6 weeks heading into the playoffs. Teams that need to win typically always show up the teams looking ahead tend to save themselves because of the obvious reasons fatigue, injuries and divisional match ups. Monday I jumped on Green Bay heavy. Green Bay was In must win situation, against a rookie QB. Despite having one of the worst defensive stretches over the last four weeks, I just knew that Green Bay would show up, and they did.  Philly thought that they had a gimme coming into this game because of how pathetic the packers looked over the last 4 weeks and decided to save themselves for Washington . Big 'mistake.

THis week we have a similar situation. The Oakland Raiders will be looking ahead to their huge week 14 matchup in Kansas City on a short week.  A must win to regain the tiebreaker and division. They could care less about Buffalo and will not be putting in 100 percent. Carr being injured is an added bonus, but even if he were healthy it wouldn't matter.  Buffalo is in an absolute MUST win. This is their entire season and they will show up for this one.

The line is already set up for the upset.  Only -3 for one of the best teams in the NFL, at home vs an average Buffalo team. Fishy and we,re not falling for it.

Great analysis MM. I noticed the fishy line as well. Haven't capped the game yet, as I am waiting on the public to bet the line up. Vegas exspects the Bills to win outright hence the short line.

Not sure about the outcome (yet) but you're right about this low number for the 9-2 host Raiders against the 6-5 cross-country travelling visiting Bills.

If Carr hadn't dislocated his finger on a freak accident ( AKA Houston's behind) the Raiders would of rode momentum to an easy victory. And don't worry about Carr, I've dislocated fingers before. hurts like hell but feels fine once you set it back in place. That being said, the line does smell fishy. You can bet on this Raiders fan sitting this one out and settling for a SU Oakland victory!

I love the OVER in this game.

Plus a TEASE with BUFF and OVER looks solid.

I think what love2 was trying to say is that Oakland is not your normal team. Raider fan's who really keep up with this team understands that the team believes in the concept of focusing on the task at hand, they don't believe in looking back at past accomplishment. The Raiders focus on what's in there immediate future which this week happens to be buffalo. When a reporter asked Crabtree on Monday about his performance on Sunday he said that he wasn't thinking about Sunday anymore our main object is the Bills on Sunday.

The reason why buffalo is scrapping for a playoff spot it because there not that good! I heard that there 2nd and 3rd WR will probably be out, and they just got Sammy back but he is not in game shape yet nor is his foot 100%. Buffalo does not have the offense to keep pace with the Raiders nor do they have the defense to stop them.

This is a trap game because Vegas set the line so low that they know that "cappers" are going to jump on the Bills and making excuses like Carr is injured to justify it. FYI Carr is fine, he is sore but he is having no problem gripping the ball.

    Raiders will win 33-20

Hes going ML which I think is a bit nuts. Yeah the Raiders may not cover every week, but they just know how to win. If it is close in the 4th quarter, Carr brings it home. There is a stat out there, most game winning drives in the 4th, and Carr leads in that category.

If you are on BUF ML, you'd better hope your up atleast two TDs in the 4th to have a chance.

I like your angle. This Raiders team does not take anyone lightly and always humble after a win and stays humble. Carr says it all the time, ' We have not accomplished anything'. They work hard for every game, for each other, and that completely negates any sandwich, look a head, letdown angles put on this team.

Sure i can ride with BUF +3.5

One thing is sure... BUF ML

The only time Oakland covered at home this year was when they played in Mexico and that doesn't not count as a home game. Aside from that, they haven't covered yet... why would they start now????  they have either lost SU or not covered ats at home EVERY SINGLE TIME THIS YEAR. Maybe buffalo ml is reaching, but did you ever think that maybe there is a reason there is no hook this week? The line is 3 flat. I know for sure I will be buying the hook on the point spread. Nothing wrong with playing money line tho. Let's not forget they have a monster divison game next Thursday...

OAKLAND HAS NOT COVERED A SPREAD AT HOME!

There is definitely such a stat, and Carr DOES NOT lead in that category.  Stafford does. Thanks for coming out though

You mean barely covered right? Oakland are that good they can lose their MVP QB for a quarter, Give you a 8 point lead going into the 4th quarter and still beat you.

Barely covered or not a Cover is a cover. Trust me I know I've won a huge wager taking the raiders by .5 and I've also lost huge betting agansit Carr another time by .5.

With that being said I do agree something about the raiders never quitting if down at the end where in 2 mins Carr can so easily score a TD with 3 huge plays down the field, leaves you scratching your head saying

BUFFALO MONEYLINE spread won't be necessary
Philly was 2 - 5 in the last 7 prior to Monday night. ah, they kind of needed a win.
A team with 10+ years of not having a winning record will not look past any opponent.
Now if u want to cap the game, let's  go!

I'm not saying this is a guarantee, it's an angle I like to use.

Wasnt your monster chase play Texans and ml against the raiders last week? Becareful of this game and heres why. The RAIDERS are possibly the best team in the afc right now and everything is going their way. Just like Carolina last year. I have won a ton of money on oakland this year and had them HUGE against the Texans. I was also on carolina this past weekend. Dont forget oakland was blowing them out bad until Carr went out. This is not a good spot for buffalo and at a fg the Bills have to basically win the game. And im not buying that. Gimme OAKLAND here to lay the wood to the Bills.

You cannot go wrong with buying the hook here. I like them to win SU myself and I have 7 parlays running with and without ml, but you can't go wrong with the hook. THEY HAVE NOT COVERED A HOME GAME IN WHAT SEEMS LIKE AN ETERNITY. Why would this be any different? They are not giving the hook because they may lose SU and are hoping people buy down to 2.5 knowing that 2 of the games have lost to a hook all ready. A guy discloses his finger, but yeah he will be full strength. GTFO. With that crap.

    .

You very well could be right. I am not doubting you on what you said, but I am one that bets on history and trends and spots and situations. My bet is solely on the fact that they haven't covered a home game since dooms day and until they do I'll keep taking the points. Also they play next Thursday which helps and his hand won't be very comfortable...good luck regardless.
