Love this play. San D gave them all they could handle last year, and they are a better team now.  Can see Rivers dink and dunk down the field sucking clock and keeping manning on the sidelines for extended periods.

I'm taking the Chargers in my pool where you pick all the games straight up. I better be the only person out of roughly 50 that pick SD.

you are right on with the analysis.. lets be real the chargers did a great job of executing this game plan last year in their second match up after blowing a huge halftime lead in their first match up. the only problem is key injuries in both the back field and secondary will hinder their ability to execute this time.

Also once the broncos get a lead their pass d will let loose. personally would not be against manning in this spot, injuries are the biggest key for handicapping come mid season as you can never have enough depth sometimes

GL with the under.  Manning as a Bronco is 9-3 O/U regular season @ home. Bronco's average 37.8 Points @ home in those games. Sure the Chargers held the bronco's to 20 points LY, but this year's offense is better IMO and they are healthy - Clady & Welker did not play. Chargers have a banged up secondary and their offense will move the ball. 

Also at this point you have to take into account the primetime angle, where teams seem to play harder to the very end, which results in more scoring and turnovers and or ref's are throwing more flags helping out the offenses to entice higher scoring games.

Never bet against Manning on National TV and never take an under when he is playing especially @ home.

Love the Chargers too.  I took the points, may do moneyline also before the game.  I think it's a good spot for the Chargers.  Catch Peyton on a short week.  

I highly doubt the people saying that the Chargers are a dumb pick ever bet real money on a game.

Yep, that was a sweet ticket indeed. I caught much the same grief then. Even though the odds were 10-1 last year, I actually liked that play more than the one this year.....

Sure, Denver is rollin and the defense is improved.....But this is the NFL. Perfect storm/scenario set up for this game with SD losing and Denver looking unbeatable w/ manning setting a record. Honestly, I doubt many people think SD has a chance to cover the spread, let alone win SU. I'm good with being in the minority when it comes to sports wagering. How many teasers are gonna start with Denver -1 or .5 ? Who really want to bet a Broncos under?

I'm ok losing this play, which sounds dumb, I know. Its just the way I look at things. I gotta hit this 1/7 times to make money and thats fine by me. If SD wins, I dont think they score more than 27....

Can Denver blow SD out? Hell yes. Will they?
