CHI @ TEBOW - Discussion (Something ain't right)

Question

Ok first of all I know this baby jesus is getting all the hype with winnings that aren't pretty. A win is a win regardless of how it gets done.

But I'm quite the line this week is a bit fishy to me. I know Hanie struggled big time against the chiefs last week, and I know Forte is out. But has the public lost respect for Marinelli's defense elite team? Don't you think they would contain baby jesus and stop the run? Players like Peppers, Urlacher, Briggs and so on. I honestly believe the Bears are better this week than what the line depicts.

Opinions anyone?

After seeing the last 2 weeks box score how is this Bears team going to put up points? Take away the 81 yarder to Knox and the 6 dump-offs to Forte and Hanie looked just as bad vs KC.

At one point this year Forte was 50% of the offense. Denver has finally gotten a little respect and all it took was a Bears team to be without 90% of their offense, LOL!

I can totally see this game being 17-10 or 10-13 either way, and that is if the Defense or special teams score a td.

Bell and Barber will likely have 30+ rushes with the way Hanie performed vs KC and OAK. With 6 int's his leash will be very short!

Bailey will shutdown Knox or Bennett and Bears D will slowdown that Denver rushing attack.

First one to 17 wins this one, IMO.

Could be similar to the Bama - LSU game IMO, only less yardage!

Arizona Cardinals &#x2B;16&#xBD;  San Francisco 49ers/Arizona Cardinals under 53  Chicago Bears &#x2B;16&#xBD; Chicago Bears/Denver Broncos under 48&#xBD; I think you are right about the Bears D Johnny, but I don&#x27;t think it was possible for the line makers to make this spread any lower (without serious one way action)with the way Denver has won all these games and the Bears injuries.  THIS LINE OPENED AT -2, Someone is on Denver already...

I&#x27;ve got -3.5 Tebow. No idea how the Bears will score, other than special teams. Haine is terrible.Hoping Von Miller plays and puts Haine down a couple times

I know stats can be misleading but they are currently 20th in overall team defense. 28th against the pass &amp; 7th against the run. Not exactly &#x27;elite&#x27; numbers. But they are stout against the run which obviously is very important this week against Denver. It&#x27;s a no play for me but I sure hope your right   Raider fan here &amp; need Denver get beat up.

I think the line is accurate.. The Bears should contain Tebow, but I don&#x27;t see the Bears doing well on offense either. The Bears under Hanie are more prone to turnovers than Tebow. The public might be pushing the line a little, but it is close to what it should be IMO..

The Bears will score...Broncos are not stopping the run, letting up 132 in their last 3 and letting up 250 passing.

Marion Barber will rush for over 100 on Sunday. As long as Hanie doesnt throw any picks or maybe just one, then the Bears will win this game. They will shut down this running game of denvers. McGehee knee and hamstring issues put him at less than 100%. There will be a lot of three and outs in this game for denver, who is towards the top of the "three and outs" list as it is. Game will be close, but denver will keep its horrible 1-4 ATS record at home in tact. Jesus' son finally disappoints.

Valid point, but as a Bears fan for 30 years who never misses a game, Denver is in the same position.  Who is going to put up points against the Bears.  I was at the game last week.  Bears went 3 and out so many times, KC should have scored 30 with all those chances, but you can&#x27;t score on the Bears.  Tebow wins against teams that aren&#x27;t big AND fast on defense.  The 2 teams ironically built to stop a Tebow, is Chicago and Denver!    Weird, I know. Wait and see.  The game will be a under that wins by a FG in the 4th.

The Bears defnese will be the fastest defemnse Tebow has faced and the cover is not going to be good for Tebow.Now can Haney and the Bears score?I think they will be better prepared this week as Forte injury sort of shocked them last week and were not prepared for not having him.Look for the Bears special teams to step up.Like the Bears and Under 17-13 Bears

I would take the under simply because of that. denver is a low scoring team, if the bears can stop the run (which includes the tebow option) then they can get away with the W.

Johnny- I think you are looking at this the wrong way.  It isn&#x27;t about Tebow moving it on Chicago, it is the fact that Von Miller is back and this Denver defense should destroy the Chicago offense.  The Bears should struggle to score 10 points in my opinion, so if Denver scores 14 points, they cover.  I could be wrong, but that is how I see it. For what it is worth also, I expect Denver to win/cover, Tebow to struggle and everyone to talk all about him once again.

&#xD;&#xA;Nah. The NFL needs a good story. Tebow is it. No way they lose this game before he battles Brady next weekend. I actually expect the Broncos to win the rest of their games (Chi, NE, @ Buff, KC) and finish 11-5, at worst 10-6, but still win the division and get a home playoff game.&#xD;&#xA;NFL is all about money folks.

Train, you must have missed the game last week early in the 4th quarter. The Broncos were trailing, Tebow converts a 3rd and 2, they call a BS penalty, he then converts a 3rd and 12 and they call another BS penalty which ends up forcing a punt.
