Wondering if S Matthieu and CB Fenton will be ready to go Sunday??? Bengals' chances dramatically improve without those two???

What year starts the modern era of the NFL for you? It used to be when the NFL and the AFL officially merged before the 1970 season to form one league with two conferences. 

So Montana and Brady winning their first conference championship games don't count...why not? The game was far more real and violent in those days than now.
