AND I LOVE IT!!!!

Swapping a top 3 rb in the league for a guy with a ton of miles on him whos only getting slower and more tired. Gore is a warrior but has seen better days and he doesn't put the fear into teams anywhere near what McCoy did.

Giving Maxwell 50+ mil. You are giving this guy shutdown corner money? See how good he is when he's not surrounded by people like Sherman, Chancellor, Berry, Thurmond etc. Is he $20 mil better than DRC? I don't see it. 

And now chip is about to trade the farm for Mariotta and cross his fingers and pray. He has mike holmgren gm skills.

I agree completely. Chip kelly's arrogance is causing him to make decisions detrimental to the eagles FUTURE. Also, kiko alonso is a damn good LB. But, coming off an ACL?? I feel he is too overly confident in his system and too concerned in getting guys from oregon. This will be year #3 of his system in the nfl. Opposing coordinaters have enough tape and PT against his system, I dont see them being successful.
8-8 maybe.

I've been Kelly's biggest supporter but i have to admit i'm selling some of my stock here. Trading Shady Mccoy fine ok he's a RB and they're a dime a dozen. You knew something was up when Kelly would take Shady out in weird spots of the game. almost like he didn't wan't McCoy to score TD's

Frank Gore was done a year ago

Personally i think in 2-3 years Kelly will be back on a college sideline

gore's not signing with them--he either stays with niners or goes to indy.

The Eagles are a much better team with Kiko Alonso, Maxwell and Gore than they are with McCoy.  Kelly will find 100 RBs he can slot into his RB spots.

Maxwell is a very overrated player that they overpaid for. Not many backs have the cutback ability and homerun threat McCoy did. They downgraded no two ways about it. No maclin now either. That offense is not scary to anybody

Has gore ever ran w/ out a fullback? Plus philly uses a lot of  sets where there's only 5 or 6 blockers

Gore is there for short yardage, something Mccoy couldnt do well. Got rid of Mccoy while he still had value (he was always overrated imo). Going after Mariotta is a smart move. He knows Kellys system and is a better runner (obviously) than Sanxhez or Foles, who are backups at best in this league. Kelly won a lot of games with those 2 at the helm. Shore up the defense, add a solid short yardage back and get a middle round draft pick to be your rb...theyre out there.....believe it.

Kelly is going for what he believes, and I like it.

Mariotta isn't the franchise qb some think IMO. Does he have u convinced he can be a pure pocket passer in this league? Ehh. And like I said maxwell was severely overpaid for. He is on an island now in a poor secondary not surrounded by top tier talent. He won't be able to keep dez and obj in check. Not even deshaun jackson. The eagles 2 most dynamic players are gone in Jackson and McCoy and their best all around wideout who can run the entire tree (maclin) is gone too... Where are they scary?

And he hasn't traded away picks yet, it's all hearsay for now. If he does trade away pics I think that wouldn't be a smart move.
I've watched the  "mismanaged" bears for years trade away pics, and we are recently left w/ a talent-less bunch of drafted players(of those that are left) for our new GM.

After a non-playoff season, they take too many risks with the offense. Just the pure names: Foles, McCoy, Maclin and last year DeSean Jackson. Better defense this year but restructuring this chaotic offense can take time, i would bet the dallas win the division.

Chip doesnt want a pocket passer.....pretty sure he beleives a new era is coming to the NFL (his system for example) that spreads the defense out to the max an need a mobile qb. Obviously throwing is still a must, which is why Kaepernick will never win a SB....

To recap the eagles additions...Kiko alanso, and sam bradford. Between the 2 you have 3 blown out ACL's. and they wanted gore who had 2 knee surgeries himself early in his career

And no Jeremy Maclin either. Who is there left on offense now? Sproles?

 And seems like Chip is going for Mariota. Sorry I don't think MM can take Eagles to playooffs in 1st year, neither can Mark Sanchez or Bradford. I think the NY giants will be making some noise this year.. Cowboys could win the division again but it's the NFC East.. rarely does any team win back to back in their division not since Andy Reid was running the show

Sam Bradford? Sam Effing Bradford? Chip, you love to run the hurry up offense, fast paced and big plays downfield. Why on earth would you grab a beat up never-was, let alone pick up his $13 million dollar contract? If this is all part of his Marcus Mariota plan, I don't think this was the way to go about it. I guess only time will tell......

Everybody thinks Kelly is looking toward the future. I disagree he is looking back at the Redskin game on 12/20 a huge game for the Eagles and they couldn't get it done. He did what every coach should do, drain the cesspool if you can't perform in critical situations. He was going nowhere with Foles, McCoy and Macklin.

As a diehard g men fan I am only happy to see McCoy gone. Idc how people try to spin it that's a downgrade at the rb position, they have jet type 2014 wideouts. I thought their first good signing was grabbing Walter Thurmond.

way better than gore but not so fast. thats a lot of money tied into a rb which is a devalued position in todays NFL. one who has fumbling and injury issues as well. IMO dallas o line made murray look really good and I think a lot of rbs coulda ran well behind that line. think mccoy is way better
