Great college QB. No argument there.
But he is headed down the fast track to professional irrelevance.
1st he gets hurt. Ok. Gets advice from dad during the game and doesn't even attempt to return to the national championship game based in part to concern about his future in the NFL. Some will argue that but I feel that was a huge part in him not returning.
Then he sees the best orthopedic physician in the country. Says he is fine and will be fine for the combine.
Now the combine is here and he won't throw due to his shoulder. Now he's not the 1st and not the only one to skip throwing at the combine. And he will throw on his pro day where he can control things.
I just see these as the 1st steps from going from being a great college QB to a pain in the ass and really a non factor at the next level. Yes he will get drafted and make a team. Very doubtful he amounts to much.
In fact as much as I hate to say this because I can't stand the fucker but Tim Tebow is doing more to improve his chances than Colt McCoy is simply by how he is approaching the challenge.
