Love what Travis Kelce said about CROOKED CARL back in 2017
"Ref No. 51 [Cheffers] shouldn't even be able to wear a zebra jersey ever again,'' Kelce said after the game. "He shouldn't even be able to work at f---ing Foot Locker.
"For it to end like that, with the referee literally taking it out of our hands, that hurts," he said. "You try to play this game with integrity, to the end of the whistle, and when the refs want to take over the game and make it their own platform, there's nothing you can do about it. That wasn't a hold on my guy Eric Fisher. I hope [Fisher] doesn't go the entire offseason thinking it was his fault. That was horse----, flat out.
"There was an unbelievable play called on the last drive. Alex [Smith] just drove us down there [to] fourth down, making plays, making plays. Momentum is getting on our side, and we just get our jugulars ripped out because the refs felt bad for James Harrison falling on the ground.''

Any leans on the side for this game Dubs? I am still marinating on it...Stafford played well last Sunday...not sure if he can keep it up...I still have doubts about that 49er secondary though. They were not tested on the frozen tundra... I wonder how the injuries to Matthieu and the other DB will impact KC's secondary against Cincy's aerial attack?

Tough games to handicap imo ...Rams are due to beat the 49ers ( I guess) ...That Chiefs Bengals total could finish anywhere from 40-140 Posted...The Chiefs secondary is a big concern , if they don't hit Burrow ( they should with Bengals suspect o line and Burrow taking JP Losman sacks) he might shred them for 400 yards....I'm hoping for some nice player props ...JOE MIXON OVER REC YARS might be my play of the week..
.I'm rooting for the Bengals with some longshot futures pending,..
Hope Cam Akers is sleeping with a football while carrying it around 24 hours a day ....Stafford seems very hungry...
Not sure I'd trust betting any side in these match ups FAM ..

At some point Lancer it may be time to give some credit to the 49ers secondary.. Just handled CeCe lamb and Adams ..... Not to shabby... That being said a great pass rush makes a ordinary secondary very good.. 49ers have that.. Reminds me of the time Tony Dungy played the nickel back for Pitt for a few years.. Traded him to the 49ers for a draft pick.. They cut him 3 weeks into camp.. .. Never to play again.. Off to the coaching ranks.. He later said when they cut him the DB coach said sorry but you cannot cover anyone longer then 3 seconds to slow.. Tony replied " never had to cover anyone that long while playing for the Steelers "

I wouldn't quite say that they "handled" Davante Adams. He caught 9/11 passes for 90 yards. He should have had 15-20 targets but Matt Lafleur was too busy establishing his run game.

Interesting story about Dungy ..
49ers secondary has been playing fantastic at the right time of the season...As you mentioned having a pass rush makes a world of a difference......
Strongly believe this game is real tight and will come down to the final play , maybe even OT...

Week 18 Kupp and Higbee were targeted 15 times and 13 of those were receptions for 173 yards and 3 TDs...so yeah I would say my concern about San Fran's secondary is legit in this matchup. Those numbers make my case and Odell Beckham is a much bigger part of the Rams' offense now that he has had time to adjust.
Obviously you are a 49ers' fan which is cool but a football bettor doesn't have the luxury of being biased when it comes to placing bets and betting with his heart. Detaching and being objective isn't easy as we all have biases...
This is the second time you have attacked me personally and I can take it but the next time I will take my gloves off and respond in kind. I have a right to give voice to my opinions on the games without asking for your permission and if these opinions offend you, that is your problem...not mine.

Stafford came up big last week and I am thinking he will rise and shine in this one too...the GB aerial attack was hampered by the weather which won't be a factor on Sunday...not an excuse just the reality.
Butler out the door divulged this parting shot, that Tomlin has been calling defenses a long time going back to even the Dick Lebeau years...of course those rumors were always out there...2022...the year of the Titanic in the burgh.
Art 'Bourbon' Rooney is working on his 7th dui now??? The Steelers need new ownership!

Not counting blowouts of a shorthanded Washington team, and a Philly team resting guys, here are some of Dallas' passing totals down the stretch.
Week 17 vs Arizona - 256, 31 on a WR pass. Dak did have 3 TDs but the Cowboys played from behind the entire game and Dak was able to sit it out late.
Week 15 @ New York - 203 yards, 1 TD
Week 14 @ Washington - 201 yards, 1 TD, 2 picks
Week 13 @ New Orleans - 238 yards, 1 TD, 1 pick
After a hot start, Dallas was very mediocre down the stretch. Kansas City shut them out midway through the season. They padded their stats against bad teams, against the NFC east, all year. To use stopping Dak as your shining example of the Niners secondary is comical, and I've been a Cowboys fan since I was like 5. I turn 40 this year.
As far as Aaron Rodgers, hell, anybody would have trouble moving the ball in that cold. Unless you're quoting stats like passes defenses, yards per target, yards after catch, etc, these aren't great examples of the Niner secondary's play. And there's no reason to attack lancer.

No injuries to be concerned about in KC.... Honey Badger will reportedly clear concussion protocol....Fenton was also out in the secondary and he'll be back.
Sorenson had to play safety 100% with Mathieu out....he is easily the biggest liability back there and played 92% of the snaps last week...he hasn't played over 63% of snaps since week 5 (exception of the Raiders game where he played garbage time in a blow out). Sorenson started and played over 90% of snaps the first 5 games where KC gave up an NFL record amount of points.
