I really don't want to embarrass you but you seem to do it pretty good yourself. 

Remember the name, " Greatest Show on Turf"? Rams was a offensive juggernaut that year. The Pat's defense held them to 3 points for 3 quarters by forcing 3 TOs. Sure, a team SCORES 17 points should expect to win every game. If the team did win, it's probably because the defense did a good job by holding the other team below that. See, you can't have it BOTH ways. LOL

Peyton Manning and the offense put up 21 against the Ravens.  Trindon Holliday ran two kicks back.  Manning also only mustered 290 yards passing on 43 attempts with his pop gun arm. 

To refute your second point please see their games against the Chargers.  Namely the one the Chargers won but they only allowed 28 and 24 points in their losses to a Denver team that averaged just under 38 points per game.  That's about as well as anyone can do against this offense that looks more like a Mike Leach Texas Tech spread, or a Derek Carr-led Fresno State sideways passing offense, than a professional one.
