This one was going under anyways. The Chargers are dedicated to the run game, and that will keep Peyton off the field. Factor in the wind (which will be a HUGE factor in the game,) and the Broncos will also have to rely on the run game. Neither QB has the arm strength to get the ball downfield in the wind.

I can see that. But ,, we never know about turn overs and ref calls.. Making for short scoring fields,, The unknown,,, We can cap these games to death,, we just really never know how the calls will come in and  freaking game changing turn -overs.....

Well said Dickstreet.......if its punting into the wind.....one side can take advantage of the shorter field and score......however, both QBs are not known for their arm 'strengths' rather their precision and timing...wind will play havoc with that for sure!

Here is Rivers passes that game......see below. I also analyzed Denver totals at home since the windy season began (mid-October till now) and here they are:

vs. Jax=54
vs. Wash=66
vs. KC=44
vs. Tenn= 78
vs. SD=47........notice lower totals vs playoff time teams (Jax aside) and can we assume the weather was ideal in the other games? Does anyone recall?

Agreed....only if......here is the lastest at 2:30pm:

expected wind as day goes on......last speeds are during game time and these speeds don't reflect gusts.....they are averages!

The wind will NOT play a factor in this game. SD game plan is RUN, with alot more run. They will try and keep Payton and company off the field along as it works, which itshould based off last 2 games. It will not work this time around, as Denver's defense will suprise everyone today and Denver wins going away 42 - 17.

 Please make a case for how Denver will score 42 pts? Honestly, I will listen............see my next forecast at 1pm and pay attention to the 75mph gusts that are expected nearby....

West to northwest winds will increase through the late afternoon over the Front Range foothills and adjacent plains. Expect speeds will increase to 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph on the plains. Over the Front Range foothills expect gusts up to 75 with the strongest winds over wind prone and exposed locations.

I'm not far from stadium and its really windy at my house. Constant wind with big gust occasional. Sun is shinning as well.

Mid 40s at kick off, and windy...30 mph wind gust during game. News just updated it for game time.

Just talked to my brother who just got in the stadium and he says its windy and its swirling in the stadium. I still say under and Denver

Most importantly.....if you can....ask him if it is at the backs of an end or is the wind blowing across the sidelines/narrow part of the field?

If that is the case, I say the qbs rarely risk sideline passes and will be careful with medium passes up the middle that could easily be picked off by safety and dropping LBs

Just got my answer on the telecast pre-game.....wind blowing sideways across the field which will get stronger and affect long passing but not short game for both teams......3rd down passes will be riskier then.....

Funny thing is....Vegas moved the line total up to 55 and 55.5 for a short time but now it is back down to 54/54.5....too funny!
