“But SF has just played TWO GRUELING playoff games in a row. They needed to claw back from 17 down just to make the playoffs in an emotional win in W18. Then emotional win in DAL last week. Both on the road. This is not only their third straight road game that they have to "get up" for a great team, but it's their 4th road game in 5 weeks.”
Not saying you are wrong per se, but there are always exceptions to the rule!
Look at the schedule of the 2013 Niners. They played in Arizona the last week of the season winning 23-20, then played Rodgers in GB in the wildcard round winning 23-20, then beat a tough Carolina team on the road 23-20 and the went into Seattle and were an Collin Kaep interception away from beating the nighty Seahawks. They squeaked by in those wins, but they were a tough nosed football team, not unlike this one.

@begginerboy
OP is not disrespecting SF, just bringing up valid points that may dictate who wins or who covers and why. SF is a good team they wouldn't be playing this round if they weren't.

Andy - you noted that GB is going to destroy SF this weekend. I don’t see it, mainly because this GB team defensively isn’t build like last years Bucs team in terms of punch you in the mouth physicality at the linebacker, d line and secondary positions. This isn’t the Bucs/KC SB all over again. GB defensively isn’t going to shut down what Shanahan wants to do. They’re not built that way.
Niners will hold a lead late and Rodgers most likely does what he does and wins the game.

@ActionMagnet
9ers offense is not that good. Neutralize Deebo and Kittle to sum degree and it's all over. Sum of you should pay attention when we tell you of the 3 star defensive players returning who have hardly played this season, Alexander, Smith, and Mercilus, 2 of whom are all pro's. Niners had a great season, overachieved IMO, but the buck stops here.

@andarmac99
Bravo, well thought out angles and constructive thinking here
*side bar, the 2013 Washington Redskins coaching staff looked like this:
OC=Kyle Shanahan(49ers)
QB Coach=Matt Lafleur(Packers)
TE Coach=Sean McVay(Rams)*
Pedigree is real. All 3 guys reside in the NFC. I found this interesting.
Best of Luck and thanks for your time

I beg to differ on the 9ers. Zero seeing it was losing “gas”..they lost bosa all 2H and still managed 3 sacks with BACKUPS in against a pretty solid O line!! It took a fake punt and jimmy INT to get Dallas beyond 7 pts!!!! What gas was lacking??
Next agree! yes jimmy does miss those throws. Game should’ve/could’ve been iced. Unfortunately every great 1H has had a bad 2nd H or lousy 1H have had good 2H so him completing a full game is tough..although the refs did aid the boys on a “hold” aiyuk when Deebo ran it to midfield and would’ve been a good 2ah drive against the boys.
Gas goes out the window. You’re talking about a SB, NFL playoffs opportunity. If that was regular season I’d agree, I can’t fathom your “pasting” opinion. The packers have stumbled across the finish line squeaking by a heartless browns team, a nick Hundley led team and you’re talking about pasting?!!

Thanks all. Will try to respond to some posts if I find time. Good to see some old names. I've browsed through the forums and it actually seems the quality of posts has improved since I stopped posting regularly around 5-7 years ago. Seems a lot of the trolls and morons went to Twitter.
The site overall has improved in quality 10-fold too. The UI and UX is much better and never in a million years would you have ever expected to see educational content like this on Covers about 10 years ago: Examining Advanced NFL Stats — DVOA, EPA, CPOE, aDOT & More (covers.com)
The Rams not having Whitworth is a big surprise to me. Guy is an ironman who has seemingly played through much worse. I thought for sure he'd play this week. Backup Notebloom is actually fairly solid, so let's not hope for not too big of a drop in protection.
I've listened to a fair number of shows and podcasts this week and every one of them says the GB number is absurd and should be 3. Well, Bosa and Warner have been ruled in and the SF money still hasn't come in. I still feel like a Gameday drop is coming once full limits go up. Hope so anyway as I was expecting a much better number than 5.5.
ActionMagnet - I sniped openers that lasted about 5 mins on TEN -2.5 about -115 and BUF +3. Have not added and won't unless those two numbers come back. Can't lay 3.5 to Burrow and I won't take anything under 3 to fade Mahomes in Arrowhead in a playoff game.

Had to settle for Green Bay -5.5.
Interesting that the SF injury news couldn't be better, GB couldn't be worse, and the sharpest books in the world raise the line to -6 before the game.

Andy - You nailed the RAMS/BUCS game but the Niner game kind of went like i expected it to. Niners have a ton of heart, fight, those dudes are dogs out there and battled and limped to the bitter end.
Do you feel the 8 day rest for SF (played Sat game and will have 8 days until the NFCCG on Sunday) is enough for a cover or win vs the RAMS? I'm capping as i type this. Trent Williams status is a big one at the moment. Line is 3.5
