Now i havent placed any official Super Bowl bets yet. Going to look at matchups, read up on public opinion, see how the line moves etc before i make a move. However i still have one bet in play related to this game. during the season i placed three future bets guess now is the perfect time to reflect

First one: Ravens at 25/1 day after Super Bowl 49.
Loved the way they played against the Patriots in the divisional round...should have won but couldnt finish. That gave me optimism going into this season. I thought Gary Kubiak would stay and Ravens still had a talented roster overall just needed some work on the secondary. It was a snake-bitten season due to all the injuries that were tough to overcome.
Second one: Colts at 5/1 during June
Probably the dumbest one in hindsight. The Colts signed veterans Andre Johnson and Frank Gore to improve the offense. I thought the Gore signing would really help out the Colts atrocious running game which i thought was the missing link to their one dimensional offense. It seemed like Andrew Luck would keep progressing as it seemed each year he got to the next stage. It would seem natural that after losing in the AFC Championship game the next step would be to win it the next year. The Colts had chemistry issues, and injuries. Didnt even make thr playoffs, it was a regression year for Luck.
Third one(and hopefully the charm): Broncos +600 to win SB50 during Nov. 2nd
My mindset placing this bet. "This is the kind of defense that wins you championships.." i witnessed it first hand when they played Ravens on opening day. Their defense had a different aura to them but i wasnt quite sold yet. It would be until their next primetime game against the Packers 5 weeks later when this same defense that just put Brady to shame yesterday ,also got to Aaron Rodgers as well. Both teams were still undefeated i believe and this game would be a true test to see how the Broncos stacked up. That defense held Rodgers to under 100 yards! And Manning had a rare vintage Manning performance. Ring a bell? Packers did not look like the same team ever since.
I made this bet thinking their woeful offensive performance during their 5-0 start was just a fluke and that their offense would get better as they went along. Man couldnt have been more wrong. They continued to struggle on offense , Manning getting benched who would have predicted that? defense slacked a bit but they didnt lose because of their defense.. it was still a solid unit. Looked like my bet was dead, Broncos were one step away from missing the Playoffs on the hot heels of the Kansas City chiefs.. then the unthinkable happens. The Patriots lose their last remaining games and Broncos win their last two to clinch Home field throughout. What a turn of events.
